Unlike visual features, most people's voice doesn't usually change much with age so when you find one that really gets to you, you'll likely get to enjoy it for many, many years. I've watched countless things where "I'm sure I know that actor" has rattled around my head. Sure enough, a little research and I find I'm right ... and it's nearly always the voice that started me on the trail. Er ... I'm relatively new to Kdramas so while I'm sure this holds true everywhere, I'd be hard-pressed to come up with an example. (Western examples: Sir Derek Jacobi, Stephen Fry, Dame Judi Dench)
It`s shitest drama what i seen after Crash landing
The initial reply was to a comment by Aklima, which she has since deleted: "Keep your opinion to yourself". Mine was, I feel, a perfectly valid questioning of that.
I don't think positive comments 'ruin the mood' either. However, in her reply to my first one, she said that negative comments do. They don't any more than positive ones do. So my reply to her was essentially "if anything, in this case, ...".
GRRTT's comment was not being rude about you, it was expressing a negative opinion about 'Nevertheless' ... though very poorly, I grant you. So she was coming to the defence of 'Nevertheless', not you.
In reply to GRRTT, just as with your own examples, she could have said something like "What makes you think that?" or "We'll have to agree to differ" or even "There's no need to use language like that". What I 'jumped on' was her implied ascertion that it wasn't OK for someone to express an opinion contrary to her own.
Er ... if you know LGBT guys, you definitely know guys who find mens' bodies attractive. It's kinda the definition ... at least of the G and the B bits!
Oh what is more your type? Sometimes I watch mistery /crime or action ones but not so much. As you said sometimes…
Meant to add 'Tomorrow' to my 'Definitely Watch' list but got distracted, so thanks for the reminder. That also led me to a 1988 Japanese film of the same name to track down and watch. LOL, every time I finish one thing, I come here to tick it off and end up adding three or four new things to my list!
'Arthdal Chronicles' is sort of a Korean 'Game of Thrones', though less violent. And, of course, it has Song Joong Ki in it. I'm convinced he has at least another ten years left when he can get away with playing a teenager (though I'm old ... everyone looks young to me!). Not a lot of romance in that one, if i recall correctly.
'Alchemy of Souls' on the other hand has oodles, but bubbling under the surface and seldom openly expressed. It's a major plot driver ... in a way THE major plot driver ... but in such a way that it's not the actual story. There are also some brilliant one-liners, making it VERY funny in parts.
I don't recall any 'avert your eyes' moments in either, so you can watch both without that nagging concern. :-)
So he's going to be filming in Belgium? When is that? That's less than four hundred miles from me, and according to Google even if I have to walk it will only take about 120 hours. :-)

Well, according to my stats, my top genre is "Drama" and my top tag is "Death" ... which is a little worrying. In fact most of my tags suggest I should consider treatment, or at least counselling. I'm drawn to historical epics and like a little mysticism/magic/fantasy thrown in, so anything like 'Arthdal Chronicles', 'The Untamed' and 'Alchemy of Souls' immediately gets my attention.
Not usually a big fan of str8 romance / slice of life type drama, and was drawn to 'Descendants of the Sun' purely because Song Joong Ki was in it. Turned out it was really, really good and seeing so much of Joong Ki was just an added bonus. :-)
It's very annoying that the way things are listed on MDL, every season is a 'different' show. I've had to use all three votes to try to put 'Make It Right' at the top of the list, where it obviously should be.
(OK, OK, I admit I've still got loads of the shows here on my 'To Watch' list, rather than 'Watched'.)
I try to force myself, not always successfully, to wait long enough before rewatching something to have mostly forgotten key plot points or twists so developments come as a surprise once again. Sound in theory :-) Rarely works :-(
'Vincenzo' was pretty much the first modern Kdrama I watched. I absolutely loved the way humour popped up again and again at even the most dramatic or darkest of moments. It's just like real life. I've since found this is so in most Kdramas I've watched, which is probably why I've become such a devoted fan!
Well, everyone is entitled to an opinion but, for the record, to those of you who voted for 'Vincenzo' and/or 'Alchemy of Souls', I don't respect yours. ;-)

Well, this is a poll about dramas you WOULDN'T recommend so discussions about why people feel that way seem perfectly appropriate. GRRTT's statement would benefit from citing at least one reason for that opinion, but then you didn't give any of the reasons you thought it really good. "It's really good." "No it's not, it's really bad." is a perfectly balanced exchange of views, though very uninformative.
And as this is about what people WOULDN'T recommend, which in most cases will likely be for negative reasons, isn't it actually the positive comments like "This is really good" that 'ruin the mood'?
