Depression isn’t a mood. It’s a disease. Being strong is an incredibly unhelpful approach to mental illness. It hides the fact that things are not okay. Accepting you’re ill, and seeking treatment is a much better approach. It’s okay to not be okay. That’s the only way to get help.
so we are fallin for his face but grandpa's soul??
He had no interest in the original body’s owner, so I don’t think the face is a factor. Also, given the first couple of episodes, I think the younger soul belongs to Cha. He’s like a big kid even when he was in his elderly body.
In a culture where reincarnation is a standard part of the mythos, the soul is ancient. Only the depth of memory changes with age within a single lifespan. The discomfort over Cha’s age doesn’t make sense in this context. For all we know Hai Yuan has the older soul. He certainly behaves as though he does. Cha’s a bit of a kid, given he has so many decades of memories.
After seeing him in two roles, and not seeing any resemblance between them, I’ll watch anything and everything he does. A true character actor, with leading man chops. Extraordinary.
It’s nice to see So getting such a meaty role. He’s never really suited anything I’ve seen him in before this. It’s like seeing a duck finding water for the first time.
