I am not disagreeing with that. I never said festivals are not good for film makers. I got fundings from entries in festival when I was doing indie stuff. Ofc it's well known in our circles but I was talking about general public and replying to statement made about being well known.
The fact why this article exsists still remains the same. It's about project released after actors death getting reward. If that actor wasn't LSK or/and died this article wouldn't exsist. Award by it self is irrelevant and not newsworthy or we would have 100+ news of each entry of every festival.

If you asked 1000 people if they know what that is it would prob still be less then 1 person avg who knows it so I wouldn't call that well known. Even looking at Google trends statistics it has like no traction at all in time when the festival was happening.
Now I know festivals and participated in few including this one. Cannes is like 10 times more known yet still most won't know what it is. What is well know are like Oscars, bafta, golden globe, Emmy's but that is just studios paying to promote their stuff and win awards.
But all that doesn't matter because the fact remains the same. Article only exists because famous actor died and played in that and putting in entry in category with basically no competition at low pop festival will guarantee winning something in comparison to other entries that are basically indie productions.
I could care less about the actor personal life if they do good work doing their job and it's not effecting me…
I understand looking up to people because they can be role models in profession you are interested and you wanna learn from their success but most people here are just weird fans obsessing over idols, etc.

I don't know why everyone talks about Taishi ruining this season he only followed his goal he set for terrace house and after watching this series I don't see him being annoying or really doing anything wrong other then sonetimes maybe giving out strong opinion to others as if his way was the right way, so I was very surprised about him after u guys negative comments.
Only cast member I actually disliked was Cheri. She was rude, unapologetic, straight up two timing and full of irony that it's hard to see redeeming qualities.

It's basically higher budget escape room puzzle solving show but kinda scripted and participants over act as if they are in danger or act like they could lose even if they won't really. It also has cringe scripted events with acting bits.
