I really like Viki's subs better too. I love how they add cultural references about why the characters said or…
Nah. I pay both Viki and Dramafever but if the illegal site has it ... well they have it and that's where I will watch it.

If you watched Dramafever for their Chinese dramas like me you could consider supporting Cdramabase instead: https://cdramabase.com/subbing-projects/They're…
Are they active? I haven't heard noticed any updates after mentioning the admin(?) was going to be living in China?

I put in a bunch of money to get Oh My General and that got picked up by Viki. I didn't bother with refund and just picked a fantasy/historical and told them I wasn't in a rush.

Well I submitted a request to Viki. I enjoyed Oh My General and kind of want to see all the side-stories to it. I kind of wish CDramaBase wasn't inactive and I could ask them how much it would cost to sub this. I don't mind spending a few hundred (100-200) to get it done but I don't know any reliable service.

How is Sandra Ma in this? Is he character in love with the lead through the whole show and always getting herself in trouble?

Or is she valuable in her own right?

I'm struggling with the poor pacing in a lot of these Chinese fantasy/period/historical dramas.

I guess it's because there's a second season but I lost a lot of interest around episode ~35 and then they rushed to a partial ending at 40. We'll see if Season 2 gets licensed and how it works out.

Two episodes in and.. alright writers I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt because of the location and the…
Yeah. It's brutally bad. I'm skipping huge parts. The less foreign places and foreigners in Chinese dramas the better. The writers don't know how to write. The actors they can get are probably off the street friend of a friend and not professional actors... it's just awful from top to bottom. This Age of Legends has one slight improvement - at least the Chinese bad guys are as bad as the non-Chinese ones... but that doesn't stop it being a cringe-fest.

I'm sticking it out for Sandra Ma.

Overrated. SHS saved this show.
Yeah Shin Hye Sun was the show in my eyes. Without her Jennifer, Yoo Chan and everyone would have gotten on my nerves and the male lead would have been plain old boring.

It's OK but it felt more contrived than a lot of other historical/fantasy stuff. I'm not a fan of these new endings for Chinese historical/fantasy. Can a happy ending just be a happy ending sometimes? Can a tragedy just be a tragedy sometimes?

The musical numbers were hilariously bad. Could it be any more obvious the actors aren't the ones singing it?

It's an alright show but there's nothing spectacular or even that good about it. It's just one among many of these types of dramas. If you like the genre you'll probably like it. If you like the leads, you'll enjoy the show too.

I guess the drama wanted to stay true to itself and keep it light, short and happy.

Was this billed as a 2 season show in China? The first half and second half were completely different shows. Both halves had problems.

It's alright but it's so messy and the plot crawls along without a strong direction, you go through several episodes where almost nothing changes and then you get 1-2 episodes where they try to force 10 episodes of plot to happen.

Yeah I'm with the "dropped" crowd. I try to power through most dramas but I couldn't get through this one. I didn't like any of the characters. They all sucked.

My expectations weren't high going in and it got to a point where I just wondered "what am I doing watching this when I could be doing something else or watching another show?"

I gave up on it. It's most things I disliked about KDramas. It felt like a soap opera with all the flip-flopping. I got tired and dropped it after completing 10 episodes.

Only 10 episodes so far so it's hard to make sweeping judgments. The main character has a lot of room to grow.

Like the guy from Swordsman and all those remakes in a way but this guy is more of a hothead.

Crystal Zhang is amazing. I'm going to try to find out the name of that other girl I like (the woman travelling with the old man).

I think the guy playing the male lead is a little weak on the acting . The directing and camera choices are probably the biggest problem I have with this show but otherwise it has had a lot of funny moments so far in the first 1/3.

It's lighthearted fun so far.

Title About Time Spoiler
Didn't the clock flip back and forth with that guy who was threatening people? I would assume the same flipping would happen to the people he threatened.

If that's the case... how are the clocks accurate for anyone who isn't elderly or without any obvious sickness? You could assume it's an accident or a suicide or a murder and one change could well... change things.

The "gift" didn't make much sense. They never explained it. The finale was awful. It's like they decided on a happy ending but had no idea how to get there besides the basic idea "couple should be together to be happy".

I think as some of the reviews have said: it has its moments but overall it's a mess.

I'm not sure if the leads are that good together. They've had a few moments and they weren't disappointing but how does this carry the show for the remaining episodes? I think they're funny quirky characters but another 2 months of episodes? That's insane.

This drama gets some things right. She could barely speak after waking up. She couldn't walk without someone moving her leg muscles for her. She's struggling with the fact she woke up and looks completely different. The world has moved on but she's stuck in 2005.

We'll see. I like her character now but I'm guessing they'll keep throwing problems at her. The uncle, the professional violinist, the lady in yellow, the clients who want to date Woo Jin, the doctor who's obviously interested in her. The foreshadowing looks like a mess of random stuff, hopefully the writers have planned well to tie things in together.
