I said a similar thing and guess what, I got attacked super rudely for it. Others started lecturing me about how "it's not pedophilia blah blah" which I get yeah they are right it's not exactly pedophilia but actually ephebophilia in this drama's case. Yet logically it's still wrong and I hate when people say am acting crazy over it when it's literally a 20-30 years old people being romanticized with 17- years old kids. Like it's not about being religious or anything of the sort, seriously how is this adult x minor concept is considered cute and okay logically and morally?! I mean yeah they aren't sleeping with each other and there is no abuse or sexual assaults included which is good, but it is still off. Like they could easily make them 18 at least with the concept of a big age difference between two legal adults and nothing much would change. They even went as far as having 3 adult x minor ships in this drama, Shin x Minato, Asuka x the architect freak, Shin's younger sister x Architect freak. We could also include Minato x his teacher thing. Like why??? Am surprised they didn't make Shin's younger brother fall for Minato as well to complete the formula lmao

About Minato yes I know he wanna end things or whatever but he is freaking dragging that shit too much and that's why am being "Hysterical" by the way in many countries around the world if someone who as old as Minato (He is supposed to be 28-29 years old) get into a relationship with someone who is 17- years old, he could be thrown in jail or at least viewed as scum by others if they get discovered in the right time before something sexual happens. Alright it's not pedophilia but Ephebophilia which is still considered illegal and gross as fuck to me.
I don't care about their age of consent it still logically wrong. Even if they shouldn't be called pedos but does that makes this whole crap cool?

To me any adult who get attracted to someone minor even if they are 17 is a psychopath (Unless it's an 18 years old who is into 17 years old. In that case it is not an actual issue. One year difference or so is not a big deal), also people are different some hit puppetry by the age of 9 (Like me, that was one hell of a disturbing experience lmao) and others don't reach it till they are 13 or 14 (Mostly boys in case of 14). And some of the characters in this drama are close to this age, Shin was 17 at start, Asuka should be 16-17 and Shin's younger sister could be 14-16. So basically they are still considered kids. Just because they aren't 9-10 years old, doesn't mean they don't count as kids and getting attracted to such ages is still illegal and a form of mental issues. I guess the preferred term in this case would be Ephebophile.
My point here, why couldn't they be college students or at least 18 even if they are still in high school? And they pushed it too far by making every freaking minor be in love with an adult who is at least 10 years older. At this point am expecting Shin's younger brother to be into his teacher as well or something...
And yes about Minato, like seriously he is almost 30, yet acts more immature than Shin and Asuka. He kept giving Shin mixed vibes before finally rejecting him after long painful 8 episodes. The moment his teacher appeared, he started acting like a dumbass. It's clear he had a thing for Shin, so I would rather he be straight forward and say "Look here, yeah you're my type but the fact that you're still a minor is a turn off to me and obviously could get me a first class ticket to jail, if you truly want me that bad then leave me alone and don't contact me until you're an adult and then I might actually be able to see you as a possible love interest" or something of the sort instead of getting all friendly and touchy then panicking when Shin gets too excited over it.
By the way they kept showing flashbacks of Minato kissing his teacher back when he was a student, if that actually happened then how the hell the teacher doesn't realize Minato is into him yet?! That part is confusing.

Watched 4 episode so far and am dying of boredom. Since I have seen how everyone overhype it, I had kind of a high expectations and well...it feels really bland. I don't get why is other dude interested in ML, I understand the pain ML is going through with the whole lookism thing, I can relate, but he is kinda annoying as well. Like yeah we can have our insecurities and all that, but we shouldn't use them as a reason to treat others who don't seem to have same issues poorly. He acts like a brat at times and personally there is no way I would enjoy interacting with someone who treats me that way if I was in the other ML's place.

Well, I totally prefer 8 episodes over the 12 or even worse the 16 episodes thing. Yeah most Korean dramas end up being so freaking stretched it makes me lose the joy of watching and don't even get me started on Chinese dramas with their 40-90 episodes torture lmao

Seriously how many ephebophilia bullshit are they gonna keep adding every episode?! Why are all these teens into adults as if their schools and neighbor schools are fucking empty from fellow teens. Obviously that dude would turn down Shin's younger sister cause duh! Bitch, you're a freaking minor, wtf?! I can't even ship him with Asuka who is older lmao I know Shin turned 18 and I thought that the plot would finally move forward from there but nah, make Minato a total coward that's still whimpering over his crush on his goofy ass teacher, then now make Shin turn into his wing man even after he became a legal adult...what is going on here?!
He is supposed to end things with his teacher to move on, but it seem they will drag this for another two episodes, while making Shin more and more pitiful.

Edit: For all the people who try start arguments with me saying that Shin is now 18 and so it should be fine...etc yeah I know, I don't mind Shin going after Minato after turning 18, I was not fine with him being 17 before, also am not fine with his sister going for the architect teacher, since she is supposed to be younger than 17. So if you're about to lecture me over the 18 age thing, don't bother wasting your or my time.

Yeah I also thought he doesn't fit for Miyamura's role, also yeah the longer hair was better, I also preferred the anime Miyamura with long hair.

Oh, okay. I watched many dramas with this same concept (A teacher with some problematic past/family who tries hard to be a great teacher for high school kids who have tons of cheesy ass issues you would expect a teenager to have like Gokusen, GTO, and Rookies) and I loved these three dramas I mentioned. But Miskai Number One gotta be the cringest one among all dramas with such concept. They made the drama overly childish with overly comical characters.
I know the FL is cute and all, but her being a teacher is so not convincing to the point where it hurts. An overly cheerful and happy go lucky air head Barbie with brown hair who happened to be a hostess...really?! Her clothes are more than enough to get her fired, they don't even need to know about her being hostess to recognize that she isn't suitable to become a teacher. I mean at least in Gokusen the FL had plain normal style (Tho overly plain lol), The ML in Rookies looked normal (Not like he was a gangster like Onizuka, but if we ignore the blonde hair even Onizuka could pass as a teacher in Japan). The students also had overly flashy styles. I mean am all for over the top fashion myself, but they should try to keep the realism a little bit even if it's fiction. The male studnets has that Japanese rock star style from the late 90s and the girls look like a pop star wannabes.
Here they made the FL awfully immature and I honestly don't see why would she decide to become a teacher after being a top hostess, like even is she wanted to quit, she could just do anything else with the money she got. This whole "There is things only you can do, you're the chosen one" crap doesn't work here at all and her acting is painful to watch. They tried so hard to make the drama and acting anime like, like the animes of early 2000's and nothing was funny about it. Also the students were so shallow, I couldn't bring myself to care about their issues to begin with. I know they tend to be dramatic in this type of dramas, but they went overboard. Also that woman (Was she the vice principle? With the ugly hive hairstyle or whatever it's called, was so cringy I started to skip her parts). Basically most adults in the drama are retarded as hell including FL. The mama was nice, I think she would make more of a believable teacher than the FL who seem like a fellow dumb teenager. Personally I wouldn't be able to respect such a teacher at all as a teenager, maybe view her as a kina funny older sister figure, but not a teacher. In real life the students would bully and tease her to death and some of the boys would sexually harass her sadly. These dramas are supposed to teach lessons and make kids with similar issues to the ones students in the drama face, I get it. But they keep recycling the same damn shit over and over again. I think Gokusen, GTO, and Rookies, were more than enough and they should've abandoned this genre after them. Just like the overdone Isekai animes they keep torturing us with. I know my opinion is too harsh, but this is kinda trash, I won't pretend to like it.

And this is why I live for this drama. This is what I call flawless writing, unlike many of the trash they produce every year with the stupidest scripts and characters to ever exist.

It's not cute nor funny. I also dislike straight romance dramas due to this issue, but since they shove romance into our throats in basically all dramas (Even freaking thrillers, and super dark crime ones which I find highly stupid and unnecessary) and I have many favorite actors, I can't just avoid all their dramas because of the damn romance that they are obsessed with. It reminds me of the Tsundere trope in anime and also in dramas, that trope is one of the most annoying and toxic character tropes, especially when it's the female being the Tsundere one. They most of the time make them super violent (Mostly towards MLs, beating them half to death over just breathing next to them at times), rude, and cruel, all in the name of being cool and badass or whatever, then everyone will simp for that shit and think it's cute just cause they blushed a bit, or pretended to be nice every now and then by doing kind of good thing while calling the ML stupid...lmao it's utterly sad, female authors should be more able to make good female characters to end this curse, but they make it worse.

Yeah, I don't have an issue with the actress herself, but they always write the FL character in such a unbearable way and I don't understand why they do that! Is it misogyny, they got a fetish for women with shit attitude and personalities, or what exactly?! How come most of female leads in Asian dramas and movies are bad! (Same goes with anime. It's super rare to find very good female characters that actual females irl can relate to, they end either as pure fanservice source or a total pain in the neck, or both lmao).
And they always gotta include pedophilia (Or the whole gross loli culture in anime) vibe even if it's not that straightforward like in this drama. Personally there is no way in hell I could be attracted to someone who was a kid one day while I was an adult, or someone who was an adult while I was a very young teen, that's creepy af!

I freaking love this movie and will probably re-watch it at least 5 times in future. The leads got great chemistry, both were very attractive and stylish, and best of all, they didn't try to make the whole BDSM concept awfully vulgar and gross, instead they somehow managed to make it fun, hot, and even cute at times. It wasn't all about sex and that's it, they included the leads thoughts, feelings, and even insecurities. They are now among my top drama/movie couples. To be honest I'm a bit of a sadist myself so seeing such a romance made me hella excited, I would also enjoy being in such a relationship with an adorable M guy so it was a nice representation lmao
The dog roleplay scenes killed me, didn't laugh that hard since long time.
Also that revenge on the misogynistic boss in the end was very satisfying and I even loved the sub female friend of FL and dog loving guy. Glad I finally found a movie that was 100% worth the two hours watch.

Wow, just watched episode 5 and godman, I kinda hate this drama. I mean I like Holland as a singer, the other male lead is a decent actor judging from his Where Your Eyes Linger movie and is good looking, but what the hell is this garbage?! The plot is ass, the acting is horrifying (I don't understand what's wrong with everyone, they all bad at acting here even support and background character like the restaurant owner and even restaurant customers, it's like they casted these people from street and told them to make a few seconds appearance and that's it). Holland seems dead inside expressions and acting-wise, and the hair color + make up makes him look like an actual freaking corpse. Even his voice sounds tired. Did they suck his soul energy before filming this or something? Lmao
The other male lead seems as if he was forced to act in the drama, and they have below zero chemistry. Overall this is just sad...

Yeah, it's all about the plot. Even if the cast are great at acting and have nice chemistry be it romantic one or not, if the plot is garbage, the whole drama will be garbage. I love many actors and actresses, but even my favorite ones starred at a good amount of awful dramas/movies with deservingly low ratings, all due to the shit scripts and awfully written characters, so I never rush to judge and get excited before actually watching.

Well, what is it with Kdramas lately and the super annoying female leads that are supposed to be badass, but end up becoming utterly irritating, clingy, stupid, nosy, violent, loud, and do nothing but overreact to everything or fall into the useless air head damsel in distress role in the end?! Same happened with Vincenzo (Although later the FL calms down a bit and gets kinda better, but still the romance was shit, I couldn't bring myself to ship them at all). There is also the awful overdone, childish humor (Which again was also included in Vincenzo and was the biggest reason along with FL and forced romance with zero chemistry that I couldn't give that drama more than 6/10 rating, at least Vincenzo had a dope dark side to the plot and an amazing villain character or I would drop it from episode 3, they should've dropped the romance and humor and just made it pure dark action stuff 100% focused on the ML and the Villain), like seriously it feels as if they make these dramas for kids mostly.
Also I find it odd that the FL here plot-wise is supposed to be way younger than ML, but looks older than him lmao I know in real life they are born in same year, but I don't know she just looks much older than him no matter how many times I look at her, maybe it's the make up? I mean her profile picture in MDL is nice and all, not saying it's an issue and it can happen in reality obviously, but I find it amusing anyway.
I kind of wish they casted a kid actress that actually looked a bit like her, like there is no way in hell that child can grow up to become the FL unless she went trough some serious plastic surgeries. (Not hating on plastic surgeries or saying the kid actress is ugly, it's just they don't look a like at all and the kid isn't very young to assume she reached puberty later on and it did it's magic somehow. That always bothers me in dramas, am not saying they must look 100% alike, just make it more believable even if the child actor/actress won't have that much screen time).
I get now both ML and FL are adults, but I find the whole fact that the ML was a working adult, while the FL was like a 13-15 years old teenager, so he should be at least about 6 years older than her or something of the sort, then they are supposed to fall for each other...that's kinda gross honestly. Like why did they need to know each other before when she was a kid and he was an adult?!
So far the drama ain't horrifyingly bad, but not good either. Probably gonna keep watching for Seo In Guk's sake and also his crew are cute so...
