Anyway I need to agree that I really hate it when people assume that gay people are mostly about sex. What's wrong with the show being chill, and more emotion / romance focused than your typical western dating shows that are all about sex, alcohol, and rude remarks about each other? The reason I never got into dating shows was cause I couldn't appreciate the awfully vulgar and shallow concept they kept going for, but this and Merry Queer are the only couples/dating reality shows that I managed to watch without getting pissed off. I want to see them talk, get closer, understand each other, have fun, do enjoyable stuff, and act like normal adults than horny porn stars. Yeah sex is important in relationships I know, but it's not the most important part in my opinion, the feelings are what matter the most, otherwise it's just sex partners/friends with benefits relationship.

Like if I say what's going on with this drama is odd and wrong, does that mean others are allowed to call me crazy and a church lady blah blah? You yourself don't agree with me which I don't mind, especially since you you're doing it in a decent manner and politely, there is no way in hell after this I would curse at you or call you names insulting you yourself over it. Yes everyone got their own standards and even I don't see something bad about an 18 or 19 years old dating a 17 years old, I mentioned that in one of my comments, what turns me off is huge age gaps, especially if it's adult x minor thing since I highly believe such relationships are always toxic. Most adults who date minors do it for sexual purposes, not to pursue actual love obviously and some of them view it as a sort of fetish thinking these minors are easy to control or abuse, and might go as far as manipulating these minors to make them do very disturbing things while thinking that are doing right things.
I dislike the concept of this drama and I only criticize it, not it's watchers necessarily. What truly angers me is people who think they can be rude as hell to others over them not liking what they like as well. Notice my first comment, I didn't insult anyone specific nor mention the watchers telling them to stop watching this drama, I wouldn't do that, but I can say whatever I desire about the plot, acting, characters...etc I wouldn't even bother insulting the actors themselves, but criticize their chemistry and acting skills only which is my right.
Honestly as watchers we all have a right to get upset if a drama is trash, cause these dramas are made for us watchers and these companies who make them benefit from said watchers to gain money. Just like singers, you can't expect me to become your fan and fully support you, spending money to watch and buy your stuff when you barley have talent or put an effort in what you do. You must earn it and deserve the support.
I do love plots with dark concepts, or plots that cross the line and talk about things that aren't common or largely liked, yeah it's not necessary for everything to be 100% good without some evil included in, some plots include very awful stuff like abuse, depression, r*pe...etc and are done in a very nice ways that are both informative and relatable at some parts/well written basically, not for shock value or romanticizing these things. But some things are just overly off. A good example is the anime Boku no Pico which is hated by anyone who come across it and they are right to do so for many reasons or some of the very toxic BL dramas filled with abuse, r*pe, and violence that are supposed to be viewed as cute. That's not being artistic and different, that's just being mentally fucked up (Not saying this drama is as bad as that anime or said dramas though, obviously it's not).

Personally I think, if they just went with the characters being 18+ and them being into 28-35 years old people that would be okay and might be a good way to show the struggles and insecurities along with differences in way of thinking and interests couples with such high age difference can face instead of going for this overly childish not so well written plot.

Don't read my comments in a round about way, yes they are allowed to have sex obviously as minors, as long as it's with a fellow minor or someone who isn't more than 1-2 years older than them. Many people in USA and other countries have sex before they turn into adults and I don't care about that part, what I find gross is an adult who is in their 20s or almost 30 or older viewing these ages as sexy or romantically attractive.

I get it, but what am saying is I find it odd that just cause the age of consent in Japan is low and that just cause someone hit puberty and all that means that it's normal for them to go be in relationships with people who are way way older than them. I'm 24 years old myself and I still view people who are 20 years old as younger siblings figure even though, yes they are adults as well and it's obviously not wrong or weird at all for me me to date them.
