Ep 5 : 1- I was so freaking satisfied when that young lady stood up against the FL's scolding over the not reporting the rain issue. It's ironic how that the FL made the biggest amount of mistakes, shit orders, and odd actions and now she thinks she has the right to scold others for making one mistake. I mean yeah it's her duty as a director, but she is still not fitting to be one at all. She doesn't realize what being leader is all about to begin with, nor bother understand what is going on with the people working in her team because she is clearly more busy trying to hide her love affair from them. I was glad that woman told her that they have no faith in her cause she doesn't even has faith in herself in the first place. Imagine being a director who is supposed to be better than others enough to get chosen for that position at young age and then hear such a thing from your underling. Her messy behavior is making everyone in the team anxious. Her becoming a director wasn't a good idea at all. She will need a long time till she earn her team's trust. The ML even had to go around talking with everyone in the team to calm them down...He feels more like a leader than her at this point. He is new, yet everyone are already comfortable enough with him.
2- The FL's mother is seriously getting on my nerves. According to her the only way her daughter can be happy and make her proud is by getting married?! Her daughter studied hard obviously, then graduated to have a good job and got promoted to a director position in young age. All that and her mother isn't proud but her standing next to a man is what gonna make her truly worthy? Just cause she raised her (Which is her mother duty, any parent must take care of their children. It's not a favor or charity to be worshiped or praised for. It's their freaking duty) she thinks she has the right to make such decisions for her? She clearly doesn't view her daughter highly at all. Her daughter recently got over an awful relationship and her mother doesn't want to let her breath and pick the time she prefers to get into another relationship?! Even if she never get married, so what? It's not like she is gonna die or become homeless.
3- Seriously how long are they gonna make the FL and ML along with their Ex gf and bf act like dumb kids? The main leads trying so hard to hide their relationship which ends up making it painfully obvious instead, the second leads acting jealous over the stupidest reasons and pretending to be lovey dovey in front of main leads, the rude ass ex fiancé saying all that crap to FL then telling his wife to leave her work so she won't interact with her ex bf whom she cheated on with him...the one who is truly brazen in whole drama is him. Every one of them is making me cringe hard with how childish they are being when they are literal adults, even married adults. The drama is getting more and more cliché like teen rom coms instead of having a more mature and professional vibe.
4- That last scene at the motel, I guess they decided to add lame misunderstandings to make the plot more dramatic which happens all the time in K-dramas. They are probably gonna keep doing that till the last episode. As if the romance wasn't irritating enough. Besides if they act immature with this whole thing instead of talking and explaining calmly that will be the last straw. Especially since they aren't even dating officially to begin with. They are more of friends with benefits for now.
This was the most boring episode so far honestly. Feels as if the plot is gonna go downhill from here, I hope it won't though. So far they are kinda giving more importance to the romance than the work part, I wish they would balance it more. Really hope the FL start acting properly and use her brain well in the next few episodes so no more stupid job related accidents happen.
Only watched the first episode but it made me die of boredom. I do love thriller genre, but I guess this one isn't my taste. No one among the main characters caught my interest. The ML, I remember him being the lead in Prison Playbook. I watched like 4 episodes of that drama then dropped because I couldn't stand his character. He again has a hideous haircut here and feels like a robot trying to act.
I was dying the whole time I was watching this drama. Like everything was so freaking stupid I couldn't help but bust out laughing, even during the last episode. It seems we can't hope for a BL K-Drama that's better or as good as Light On Me anytime soon sadly. Only things that kept me watching were the visuals of Kim Ji Woong, he is a fine ass looking guy! Along with the really good kissing scenes, but everything else was garbage. If only they took this plot seriously and gave the same effort they gave to Light On Me, it could end up being decent but well...
I also wonder. Why did so many people got attached to this drama? Indeed like someone else wrote the first episode…
Glad to see am not the only one who isn't digging the romance between Lee Seung Gi and Suzy. Idk, I just don't see the point of it. They barley have romantic moments and when these rare moments occur, it just gets me out of the mood completely. Their chemistry isn't that great to begin with. They make a nice friends/partners vibe but not more than that. Seung Gi at times feel more like her older brother than lover. I also didn't like how they tried at the start to force a love triangle bullshit with Shin Sung Rok. Glad that they didn't keep it for too long. Most interesting female character for me was Lily the Assassin, wish she had more screen time. I really liked her character. About the overall plot, yeah I do agree that there is nothing that unique about this drama apart from the well done action scenes, high budget, them filming it in many countries, and cinematography. The acting and cast are amazing, but most of the episodes are spent on a bunch of old, boring people discussing their evil plans and goals. Even the main leads don't have that much screen time. There are too many flashbacks, plot twists, and villain characters to the point where it gets exhausting after a while. The only things that are making everyone go crazy are the cast (Mostly Lee Seung Gi) and action scenes. They were also the reasons I didn't drop it after episode 4 since it got awfully draggy from there.
I'm 4 episode in and I'm fascinated by this show. I don't think I've watched a Korean drama quite like this. I…
Watched first episode and I was extremely bored during the first half of it, it started getting better in the second half with the younger ML. It's not really that funny, but I guess a bit interesting, I will keep watching till episode 2 or 3 then decide if I want to keep watching it or drop.
Does it get less boring and gloomy after the first 2 episodes? I mean I do dig dark plots but this one is gloomy…
I feel like I know dramas that has all the types of characters you just mentioned lmao Also what makes this drama more tense is the fact that it tells story in the past. When things weren't as high tech as now so investigating was much harder and more stressful since finding evidence was super hard, along with the fact that people mindset was a bit narrow back then (Like how the police force didn't instantly accept the ML's team cause they thought it was a pointless waste of money). Nowadays South Korea is filled with CCTV and other stuff, so committing crimes can't be as easy as in the past.

I understand what you said and I fully agree! Besides most people watch dramas to escape the real world and boredom so they prefer exaggerated, fictional, and exciting plots way more over slice of life/realistic ones. I'm like that as well, but I did watch up to episode 5 and I have to admit, the drama did actually get much better. I felt like I forced myself to watch first two episodes, but from episode 3 I was starting to care about the plot and characters (Especially the male lead and his glasses wearing partner). Their job actually seems intriguing in a way. The acting is flawless so far. If it keeps getting more interesting, I probably wouldn't give it less than an 8 rating by the end.

Actually I only watch Asian dramas so I don't know much about American shows. Especially crime ones. I did watch many crime and psychological Asian dramas and movies. But this one is a bit too slow for me. You said it's first K-drama of this kind, I guess that's why am not used to it. I will stick around and give it a chance till like episode 5 then decide if I want to continue or drop it.
Only first day with out "through the darkness" and I go through withdrawals symptoms for not watching the series.Anyone…
Is it really that good? I watched two episodes till now, but I was awfully bored during them. I can barley even remember what happened in them, does the show really gets better in next episodes?
