The drama had so much potential like tunnel n life on mars but the plot was much more complicated n it would have…
Personally, I will be honest. I watched this drama just for Yoon Shi Yoon. He is among the few rare actors who can play two or more roles in the same drama, yet manage to convince you that all characters are different people with different minds and personalities. I consider that a prove of how great of an actor he is, but I was like half sleep most of the time while watching the drama cause I just found it a bit too boring and just like you said stupid at times. Apart from Yoon Shi Yoon's characters, I couldn't care about any of the other characters, I barley give a fuck about the serial killer and other crimes. I don't care about the FL at all. The drama gives a badass vibe, but it's not.
In webtoon she ends with Eun Han? Or what other guy? I only watched 3 episodes so far but I don't mind spoilers…
I see! So because she kind of missed a father figure in her life, her brain automatically lead her to guys who reminded her of her father/ Something of the sort? It's close to when young guys/girls get attracted to way older people cause they lack a father/mother figure and need affection?

Toxic plot and characters at it's finest. No decent with a brain functioning properly person would behave the way any of these characters do, especially Na Bi. How can someone who was already in an abusive relationship end up in another abusive one and by choice?!
I totally agree! Both Dal Mi and Do San share the same struggle and ambitions. They help, understand, and support…
I was so obsessed with Bad Buddy when it came out. I couldn't wait for all episodes to be out and fun fact, I'm currently watching the first episode of Twenty Five Twenty One.

Yes, his character in Weightlifiting Fairy Kim Bok Joo was also among my top male leads. It was that character that made me get into him as an actor and decide to watch most of his works. (Plus the fact that he is super good looking, like damn there are zero flaws on his body!). I did plan to watch Pride of Habaek too but the comments are so negative it scared me lmao especially since that they mentioned that the FL is super bland and awful.

True! It would make more sense for him to have a crush on Dal Mi since they were kids, but it would still be odd since he was an adult while she was still a minor even though the age difference isn't that high. Yeah, Do San's crying and sad moments made my heart ache, I also wanted to hug and comfort him whenever he got too depressed and insecure (Which showed Nam Joo Hyuk's talent as an actor, he was the perfect actor for Do San's character since Joo Hyuk does give humble and kind vibes). Him and Dal Mi completed each other in a way. Don't be ashamed to admit that you like Do San, to me he is one of my top 10 male leads ever.

Exactly! The relationship between HJP and grandma was so sweet and him being a mentor to the others was interesting as well. I don't really hate him, I did like him but the romance crap ruined what could be an amazing, almost flawless (In a realistic and likeable way) character. I hated how was a total coward as well. Like he should just be like "Dal Mi, I like you. Wanna give me a chance or not?" if she refuse then he should just give up and leave her alone instead of wasting years acting like a dumbass. At least Do San was straightforward with his feelings. and when Dal Mi broke up with him, he instantly left and didn't try to bother her again, till they accidently met and she needed his help. I don't get why HJP was so into Dal Mi in the first place to the point where he was willing to wait for her to like him back for more than 3 years. It just felt a bit too illogical. Do San's way of acting, thinking, dealing with everything was pretty much realistic and logical in the other hand. I couldn't bring myself to dislike anything about him, even in his whiny moments I couldn't get annoyed and still understood him. To me he was the best and most interesting character in the drama, followed by Dal Mi and her grandmother.
I finished 7 episodes, but damn I suffered to not fall sleep while watching. The plot is painfully slow and everything is either too boring or too depressing. I mean I do love tragic, touching, gloomy, and deep plots like 1 Litre of Tears, Boku no Ita Jikan, The Untamed, Strangers from Hell, Beyond Evil, Mouse...etc I loved all these dramas a lot but The Light in Your Eyes is barley making me pay attention. I mean yeah the acting is great and everything, everyone are nailing their roles. I do admit I only decided to watch it cause I love Nam Joo Hyuk and I can't help but check out all his dramas and he is basically the most interesting character in this drama for me. I never skipped any of his scenes, I guess since I kinda relate to his character in a way. The FL lead (Both old and young) is doing great but am not invested in her character that much. I do find myself zoning out or just skipping here and there when it gets too unbearable at times. I will still watch till the end to see how everything will turn out, but I highly doubt I will give the drama that high of a rating anyway when I'm basically forcing myself to watch most of the time.

Glad that you agree! Han Ji Pyeong gave that respectful and serious vibe at the start which I totally loved, but then they turned him into a retarded adult with teen behavior which made me kinda lose my respect to him. It felt like a middle aged man trying hard to include himself in youth activities (Do San's and Dal Mi's relationship) I mean yeah, he isn't really old but it still felt that way.

But I meant the characters. I just love how chill they are with each other, totally giving me married couple vibes.
