I rewatched this drama recently and liked it much better the second time around. I made the mistake of watching…
I watched 16 episodes so far and I'm highly enjoying it. Unlike other law dramas which tend to be overly gloomy and suffocating, this one is so easy to watch. I don't feel awfully depressed while watching it. Without realizing I already finished half of it.
I watched 16 episodes so far and god damn, I was struggling to not fall sleep during it. I decided to watch this drama for the trio (Ga Young, Doo Hwan, and Min Jae) and had lots of expectations, but was disappointed greatly. The first two episodes were a bit interesting, but everything started going downhill from there. The plot, the romance, the characters...everything. The FL was supposed to be this cool headed, cold girl who doesn't fall easily for guys and is able to turn down all of them, including foreigners since she doesn't believe in love. Yet it didn't take more than 5 or 6 episodes for her to fall for the ML and get all jealous and emotional over him before they started dating even. She knew something is off about him but she still insisted to give him a chance. Her character was bland as hell. I found myself forgetting about her most of the time. Then we get tortured with the repetitive cycle of them, getting into misunderstandings, crying over it, then they get back together to have cringey lovey dovey moments over and over again. Doo Hwan's character was introduced as the cool, bad boy kinda of guy, but he was more on the pure and naïve side. It didn't take him more than one glance at the FL to fall for her head over heals as if she is the first female he interacted with. He doesn't even deserve his "The Great Seducer" title. Even his way of "seducing" the FL was childish. I noticed many people fighting over Joy's acting skills. I think her acting wasn't that bad but it wasn't good either. I think thanks to the fact that she was casted with actors who already great at acting and well known along with her character being bad written, it didn't allow her to show her full potential. Her acting did lack but it was bearable still. She just need to learn how to make her facial expressions fit with the mood, sometimes her expressions wouldn't go right with the feelings she was supposed to convey. Other times it felt as if she wasn't in the mood to act even. Ga Young's character AKA second FL was just annoying as hell. Selfish, over dramatic, controlling bitch who thinks that the whole world revolves around her. We are supposed to sympathy with her but I found myself sympathizing more with her mother than her. The woman was trying hard to make sure that both of her and her daughter stay wealthy and maintain their status, even sacrificing her happiness in the process, yet all her daughter did was throw a tantrum daily and do stupid shit. Second lead needed some serious therapy and way to handle her serious anger management issues. Min Jae's character was the most interesting and I found myself wanting to know more about him, but I still thought that one of the biggest reasons he got into trouble with his shit family is that he kept doing wrong stuff to deal with the whole issue. Drinking, partying, hanging with girl, running from home...etc he does all that and expect his family to still spoil him somehow?! Overall it was just a story about rich, annoying brats with mommy/daddy issues who have too much free time and money to waste them on doing stupid, pointless, dangerous crap then whine about it later when shit go south. The romance was lackluster and cringey. and I couldn't relate to nor sympathy with any of them. I just didn't care at all. To make it worse they had to add 1000 side characters with their own subplots and romance. As if the romance between the main leads wasn't bad enough, they had to grace us with their parents and friends gross love affairs as well. What is it with Koreans and their obsession with making rich people always seem miserable or evil?!
Well, I watched 16 episodes so far and it's really boring to me. Typical romance Kdrama tropes revolving around annoying rich brats who like acting dramatic over the stupidest stuff. Of course you can still check it yourself since everyone's taste is different, but I personally wouldn't recommend it. The only reason I watched this much is cause I love Woo Do Hwan, Moon Ga Young, and Kim Min Jae. The more you watch the more lackluster and repetitive the plot and characters get.
From which drama is Xuan Ji? Also yeah I agree, just cause she is too scared she ended up ruining the boys friendship…
Well, at least he was straight forward and went to her. Hye Young just lurked in the shadow like a freak for years, yet never dared to say a word till Sun Oh became into her. Sun Oh asked him many times if he liked her and he insisted he didn't even though it was clear, so why would he be upset that Sun Oh dated her? He claimed to not care for her after all. It doesn't mean Sun Oh wasn't at fault at all but still.
I so wanted to enjoy this, mostly because of Rowoon. But the FL just is just so annoying. Why do they write female…
I don't mind the height difference, but I do hate the whole aegyo voice females use and the overly talkative and hyper nature. Yeah, they are high school students so basically still minors, but they don't need to act and sound like 5 years old brats literally. At times the characters, especially the FL feel as if they are rapping instead of talking due to how fast they speak, and it gave me a headache.
Wow, few minutes in first episode and cringe level already hit the roof. The drama is quite famous though, so I will still give it a chance till the end of episode 2. Seems they are planning to use every type of romance trope and clichés that ever existed in Kdrama history in this drama. Feels like a cheaper, worse, over the top version of Boys Over Flowers. Also the FL is slowly getting on my nerves. The plot is so messy, I can barley understand what's going on at this point lmao

Oh, I heard of that C-drama but never bothered checking it out. Glad I didn't since according to what you said the FL would make me hate the show anyway. I also hate how everyone kept hating on Sun Oh even though his behavior got million times better after they officially dated. As long as he treated her right during that time then he does deserve to be called a good lover.
I will get bit technical here. I have actually worked for govt. organisations in ASEAN, Au and NZ. The thing is…
I understand but if that's the case why does the guy who hold a higher position constantly ask for her immediate opinion every time they are holding a meeting when they need to wait for data first? If they need to rely on the data that much then what's the point of her existence? They always wait for her opinion while she just sit there looking around as if she's lost. Don't forget that by her wanting to rely on data during the first two episode she made a mistake with the hail thing and it lead to issues cause she couldn't make a quick decision and even went as far as ignoring the previous director. Their work clearly needs them to be as quick as possible since the weather isn't gonna wait for them long enough. Any minute they waste could lead to a national disaster. They do rely on data obviously, not like they just rely on hunches to predict the weather, but what irks me is how they made her character feel extremely incompetent compared to other characters in the show. Also for example the ML always make sure to do researches, analyze data, and works hard to come up with his opinions to share meanwhile there was a time when he jokingly said that he smelt ice in the air or something of the sort, then the FL was like how you did it?! Like really a person in her position asking such a dumb questions? Doesn't she know he analyzed data...etc to come up with it? It's not like he super powers. You said people got easily fired for using wrong data, so how come she didn't get fired for making many mistakes, ignoring her director, even allowing that reporter to write such crap about the weather forecasting organization thanks to the lacking excuse she gave, being late...etc and lets not forget acting in a very unprofessional manner (Yelling and bringing their personal issues into work) in work place along with her ex fiancé. All that and still she won't be even probably scolded. In real world she should've been fired long time a go, but instead she gets promoted and forgiven constantly. There was a time (During the episode where she got late to work thanks to traffic) and I remember her boss asking her to make a decision and then she admits that she didn't really check the data or something, isn't that also a good reason to get her fired since she didn't do her job properly?
