Wow, I blink and the episode is finished. Like the plot is actually quite interesting, but the episodes are so short that I can barley get a chance to enjoy them, or get attached to the characters.
Not gonna lie, I think this drama should've had only 12 episodes. From ep 13-16 it's just too draggy, but I did enjoy all the fluffy, funny, and cute moments. I loved all characters and am glad that the villains aren't that bad or inhuman for a change. I loved the main couple, they are among my top 10 straight couples. Seo In Guk nailed his role (He is such a beautiful man <3). Also I don't like how Mr.Cha parents are trying too hard to make him marry. Like they should let their son do it when he wants to, when he meets the right person who likes him back instead of just forcing himself to marry just to please his parents. Can't stand it when parents stick their noses in such a personal matters like marriage, birth giving...etc Overall this drama was totally worth the watch, especially since it helped improve my mood cause I have been feeling like garbage since quite the long time. Loved the happy ending and I'm glad that they showed rich people as fellow human beings who can be friendly, caring, and innocent. Unlike most dramas where they make them literal monsters filled with arrogance, greed, cruelty, and god complex. I wish I could date the detective dude though, he is so hot! lmao
Cause he is a freaking psychopath...to make it worse Jojo kisses him back even though she has a boyfriend and…
Exactly! Also the fact that she went to that empty ass alley with a guy whom she barley know was quite absurd. Sun Oh could easily assault or kill her there and no one would be there to help.
Why is this tagged as Makjang? Is that accurate? Lol I still don't get the meaning of makjang after years of watching…
Late reply, but yeah this drama can be considered a makjang due to the whole Jojo's parents story and how illogically everyone thinks and acts. In real world no one would do what Sun Oh or any of other characters do no matter what. Also Makjang basically refer to a plot that's exaggerated/so over the top, with characters who behave in a way that's the opposite of what anyone would do in real life. Like murderers constantly getting away and villains always winning, people going into danger without a good reason, helping a criminal get away with their heinous crime just cause you like them...etc
I Managed to finish six episodes till now, but I really wish they didn't go with the love triangle crap. Mr. Cha acts more like Bok Sil and Louie's grumpy yet caring when needed uncle/older brother. He doesn't seem fitting to be a lover for Bok Sil, it just feels kinda gross to me. Like an old man falling for a kid. Also I'm really tired of the whole amnesia thing and Ma Ri is really annoying. Why in every Asian drama there should be at least one super annoying female character.
I finished 18 episodes but I'm not really enjoying the drama that much. Apart from Ji Hoon , Da Bong, Drill, and MJ, I don't really care about any of the other characters. The FL is just meh, annoying at times and just meh most of the time. Ji Hoon's adoptive / step father is annoying as hell. His mother and the grandfather are meh. Other characters are hella annoying (Especially that CEO of the company MJ work for, whose girlfriend / wife to be keep treating him like a retard. Along with miss determination or whatever she is called, whose attitude keep getting on my nerves. All these characters exist for humor sake but they are all stupid in a non funny way). Considering this was one of Cha Eunwoo's first roles according to what I read, he did a really good job as stuck up, self-centered MJ with dry ass humor taste and of course he looks stunning as always. Also Yoon Shi Yoon is slaying that 90's haircut and fashion style. I admit he looks more cute and younger with the modern haircut but the 90's one was way more unique and eye catching. The romance moments are awfully cringe and I don't like what they are trying to go for with the whole love triangle crap. Would rather this drama focus on being a sit-com instead of a rom com. The three girl students who are obsessed with MJ. The one with short hair seems as if she is in her 40's. Why do they looks much older than a high school students? Couldn't they cast actual kids or young adults who look very youthful to play these minor roles?! I feel weird whenever they appear on screen.
Still contemplating to watch this. Somehow this genre doesn't do it for me.
I'm not even a big fan of straight romance stuff, but I loved this drama so I think you should give it a try. The comedy is good too. It's really enjoyable to watch when you're feeling depressed cause it made me feel much better and it easy to watch (No dragging and too much drama). The leads have really great chemistry and their personalities are loveable.
The leads are couple in real life too, I don’t know if they’re still together
According to other comments, they broke up before years due to busy schedules or something of the sort. They seemed perfect for each other though. It makes sense their chemistry was so good in the drama since they were really dating.
