Seen what you listed except I put Ashes of Love on hold for some reason. Ruyi’s etc I also put on hold because I tried to watch it directly after Story of Yanxi Palace which is same story told from different perspective. Ruyi isn’t a good person in Yanxi Palace and the consort lead in Yanxi Palace is a good person but Ruyi consort isn’t a good person. I’ll watch when I forget Yanxi haha
I loved King Eternal Monarch. I know a lot of people didn’t but I did.
I once thought she should’ve said yes sooner so they could’ve had more time together but then I realized she might have just died earlier too since it was pregnancy related I think. This is what Wikipedia said: Four months after the death of her son, Lady Seong passed away during the last month of her fifth pregnancy. The unborn child died with her. King Jeongjo wrote her an eulogy, in which he described his grief and declared his love for her. It was said that Lady Seong was the only woman he loved amongst his consorts.
I wasn’t watching K or Cdramas back when that aired but honestly I would’ve agonized over the kdrama airing schedule so I’m glad I got to binge watch!!
Okayyyy What’s next? I need another drama that makes me stay up late, past my precious bedtime, to watch new episodes like A Splendid Match did. Or makes me get up at 5am to catch new episodes like this drama did!

(Oh and a little bit of Confucianism since in all of China’s history there was only one woman who officially took the title of Emperor: Wu Zetian. She ruled from 690 to 705 AD, establishing her own dynasty known as the Wu Zhou. All other female rulers were regents like this empress dowager though not all chose to wield supreme power. )
