I worked for the International Lawyers in Canada . . And the only Chinese Actress they knew is Ireine Song. Her drama, Ever Night, Season 1 won the Best Drama Series Award from the China - Canada International Film Festival. Hence, her name became popularly known around.
okay, I want to let everyone know that I normally don't comment every episode on a drama. but I also want you…

These words . . 1 - (I bet something there happened because of the delay of 2 years in a weird Chinese regulation system). For indeed, the Chinese Entertainment Industry is being governed by the Communist Party of China . . And that words . . 2 - and even if I usually don't like Ireine's dramas because I always think she gets the worst "childish" roles, where she could get so much better ones, this was fantastic! *** As for me - are words of something to note - for there such occurrences of events beyond our control and understanding that it seems such drama is not in what we are hoping for.
I want to remember the words of Gu Jiu Li to Hao Liang / A Dai Jie on one episode: "I like you for what you are and not for what I imagined you to be!" (And this I believe are one of the strongest words in this drama . . . )
Much has been said about Ireine Song, that I don't have anything much to add , except that I understand her humiliation before when she started to apply for even a minor roles in the C-Ent Industry, as physical looks are sometimes the yardstick --- - ----- the only thing about her, as far as we are concerned is that we live in a province, next to the Province of Quebec - a French-speaking province in Canada, where she grew up and was educated. Hence, she knew how to speak the French language and she can accentuate the French words better than the English one. (She should have been singing a French song here . .)
*** I am only a few years in Chinese dramas; I've watched very few, 3 to 4 dramas in a year; however, as I reflected on those dramas which I have seen, I can only say that the "most underrated dramas are a hidden gems of their own and those underrated actors and actresses are the hidden treasures!"
Have rewatched it 4 times now and still 10/10 for me. It's simple and clever at the same time and extremely entertainingly…
Wow! I can't imagine, re-watching for the 4 times; if you love something, you want to be on it most of the time. I am now on my 2nd time to watch it again.
As someone who did not watch this drama but only the trailer...i really did not understand how the heck the casting…
Some people may like this drama, others don't like this . . When this matter occurs, I like to read and watch those people who are expert in Drama Analysis on why they like this show . . *** I remembered one American Drama Analyst - she wrote that sometime the drama that we don't like turned out to be a "classic" . . and I find that her insights carries deep thinking.

Hi. I read one article before that sometimes, they shot SYR intentionally so she will appear shorter and looking cute. I wonder this doesn't look good, considering that 5'3 is not a very short height . 🤔 😕
I don't know who's shorter between Irene and Seven Tan ðŸ˜

The drama has a nice sense of humor, it's a bit childish but gentle :D
Yes, you nailed it so well, such an excellent points! I concur with you. Since Ep 1, I kept laughing all the way, even at lunch break and the lawyers whom I worked with keep wondering why I have to cover my mouth with a thick napkin . . .

Interesting! I am quite new to Asian dramas; with my overwhelming busy work schedule in the legal industry, the most I can watch are 4 to 5 dramas in 1 year. So, do you mean to say that there also Korean and Japanese dramas where the female leads acted childlike? Can you cite some? For we must understand that there is a big difference between a female leads who are "childish and / or childlike." May I know your insights here. Thank you.
We need people like you here.
