Both our MCs have disabilities, and it's beautiful how they understand each other. The only sad thing about this movie is how society doesn't understand them or their love. But the final scene is filled with light, love and humor. It hints at a short period away from each other and being reunited. I also took the female MCs more active mobility to mean she's living more independently because of the love she's received and given. Maybe I'm blabbering,... it's just a great film. Don't hesitate and watch it.

Wow! Thailand is doing all kinds of K-drama remakes! I'm down for it. Anada brings all sorts of charisma to the screen. I hope it's better than the Goong remake - I think it will be just based on the casting :-)
I miss mike he. let’s make our requests so Dramafever or viki will pick this up.https://dramafever.typeform.com/to/vocj3mhttps://vikiinc.wufoo.com/forms/title-request-form/
Thanks for the links! Just sent a request to DramaFever :-)
Anything over 20 episodes kinda turns me off so it's taken me a long while to pluck up courage to watch. OMG I'm…
The love story was so touching and warmhearted. Min's love for JG was tangible. Ji Jin Hee did a very good job in his portrayal. Towards the end when Min realizes he can't keep his woman safe from being a kings concubine his face was full of restrained pain, combined w/ a type of dignity too. (Don't worry the king doesn't get JG!) The fact the king respected Min was great, I'm glad the writer didn't bog it down with a drawn out love triangle was good. HEA was great. I love that Min and JG get to have a family and do what they had a passion for.
if it's kim kang woo, i'm watching it!plot also sounds refreshing
Same. I especially like the part where he's from the 'mountains'. This should be fun (I hope at least, the label of melodrama has me slightly nervous).
Anything over 20 episodes kinda turns me off so it's taken me a long while to pluck up courage to watch. OMG I'm on ep 25 and it's so good. I'll admit to skipping around between ep 21 and 24 (I'm a shameless skipper if something gets a bit draggy). Ep 25 is the clincher, I'm in for the long haul. Will update after finishing drama.
-----Edit---- Finished Drama WOW! I really liked the last 5 episodes. I had to find recaps to deal with ep 30-44 or so. There was so much backbiting that it was getting old. But like some one else mentioned in their comment, this wasn't about a romance, this was love. I completely agree. This was a very thoughtful drama, I really enjoyed it considering it's a long historical that I don't generally go for. 8/10
Watched all the Reply series in order 1997, 1994, 1988 and 1988 is my favorite (I've probably watched it 6x!) If you are new to the Reply franchise watch in order because it will be so much more fun.
I decided to go back and rewatch the others and am remembering how much Trash cracks me up!!! And totally forgot about the other characters that make repeat appearances since it's been so long. I love Sung Dong Il as the Dad! He's amazing.
I usually don't watch dramas this long, so around ep 20/21 I looked up recaps to help move this thing along. I'm now on ep 24. I'm very grateful for the recaps so I can skip around easily.
Can you give me a heads up on who dies? and do the main lovers get an 'open ending' or does one of them just straight…
Thank you! I am a huge fan of LJG. Since this drama is so highly rated I feel it's a waste to pass it up, but the feels of watching him die again (why does his characters always die?) made me hesitate. I think I'm just going to watch it with a box of tissues at the ready. IU is growing on me so it just seems like a shame to pass it up. Thanks again for your reply!
