Title Marry My Husband Spoiler
This is how dating in an Asian household goes for billions of people. I had a friend keep her relationship from…
My friend's family was super traditional and had a no dating while studying rule. The boyfriend was the same race and religion but not considered the same social status somehow(not 100% sure on this as I'm not a part of my friend's culture). When he was set in his career she did a soft launch as "friends" and slowly got them used to him as a potential marriage partner.
It honestly didn't make sense at the time to me as they seemed to both come from upper middle class families with wicked smart people(doctors and lawyers abound). They started dating in college soft launch post grad school. They met each other's parents at around year 7 or 8 at either a wedding or some sort of party that both parties had been invited to. I swear i think the parents thought they set their kids up. Honestly hilariously beautiful love story. The siblings were the only ones who knew the truth in the families.

For reference I was 23 in 2013 . Though smart phones existed as well as SNS many men did not carry around photos of their family members in their phone, honestly a lot of them still don't. The people I dated in high school I knew most of their parents, but once college came around there weren't "lets hang at the house with mom and dad" kind of dates or introductions happening. Because meeting the parents for some families means that you are thinking of this person as a forever partner.

I swear my blood ran cold when Soo Min was smiling at Ji Won while pulling her under the water *shivers*That was…
I'm terrified that the second Soo Min sniffs out any kind of disinterest in Min Hwan and notices any kind of interest in Ji Hyuk that she's going to go full nuclear option.

The episode started off cute, but towards the end, there were some hints of a potential new couple, which felt…
If you're talking about the Yang Joo Ran and Lee Suk Joon and the scene of her having to go to her house because her husband is a POS and LSJ drove her on his motorcycle I can't agree with you.
Remember that whatever JiWon doesn't have happen to her this time has to happen with someone else?
Also her story is to juxtapose JiWon's . YJR is currently in an emotionally abusive relationship, but she has a child on top of a shitty husband. It's got a purpose, in my mind, and as it only took up about 5 minutes not too much of a side quest imo.

Song Ha Yoon, performed unnecessarily well, I hate her so much in here 😭I don't think I can ever watch another…
Thank god I saw her as herself and how people interact with her before this show. Cause girly pop is more than a bit too good at this role.

Theyve supposed to have dated for 7 years and not only has shes never mer his mother, they have NO idea what each…
This is how dating in an Asian household goes for billions of people. I had a friend keep her relationship from her parents for a decade. And in 2013 you weren't really posting family pics on social nor would it be weird to not know what someone looks like.

When Ji Hyuk asked for consent to hold her hand and then waited for her to take it......SKLDJF LKJFDLSKJG OIGFLKJDG😍😍😍😍😍 the little kicks and squeal that came out of my body were not that of a 33year old. 💚💚💚💚💚no green flags in the emoji section so green hearts it is. though would 💙💙💙's be more appropriate? What green flag allowance she has. (said like little red ridding hood)

I think he was just shutting his eyes, because unlike Hyun, Ak Hee can sometimes look in on what Hyun is doing…
Yeah but i think the og commenter was thinking that when he shut his eyes in what i've been calling the "mind palace" that Ak Hee was going bye bye forever not just timeout. That's why I responded the way i did.

I do 😍 Ally's gang rocks! You can always apply for it by clicking here: (x)
Even though we don't have the exact same feelings about character choices at least it's amicable. And the discussions informative and insightful....this Cherry person really tried to come in and start a fire. Ally gang gang all the way.

Title Love Song for Illusion Spoiler
Ak Hee is so childish and immature compared to Sajo Hyun. Hyun is still unpacking a lot of childhood trauma, and is cautious with his words and actions as he has seen first hand what happens when you step out of line. Ak Hee doesn't care about anyone's feelings but his own 99.9% of the time. That 0.10% is for his KyeRa. It's not that he doesn't want Wol in harms way staying in the palace...he wants her gone because he doesn't want Hyun to have her and not HIM.

Hyun is so thoughtful with his actions toward Yeon Wol as he gets to know her. He feels helpless when it comes to protecting her, but is willing to give up his life to save her. i.e. when he broke the enchantment keeping Ak Hee dormant.
Yeon Wol is willing to die if it means that the people in the kingdom could live a better life. Ak Hee just wants to run away from his responsibilities like an actual child. Not because he feels he can't do a good job like Hyun. No, he just can't be bothered with other people's suffering.

Yeon Wol and Sajo Hyun's goals are the same. They want a more peaceful kingdom for the people and to right the wrongs of the past. Ak Hee is pure chaos and selfishness.

Sometimes letting the world burn to save the one you love is worth it. But when the one you love loves that world, if you become the thing that destroys it, you become the villain in their eyes. And you could loose their love forever.
(For those who have read the Hunger Games I keep thinking about how Ak Hee is like Gale. Ready to bail at any second with the girl one day and send bombs down to kill innocent children and first responders the next, if it means getting to his goal. Katniss could never see him the same way after the bombs dropped. The artistic, thoughtful, calm, and patient Peeta, like Sajo Hyun, was always whoever he needed to be to insure that Katniss survived along with her family, and was ultimately the one who soothed her soul. Even when Peeta's goals didn't align with Katniss' it was never at the expense of others, just his own happiness and self.)

Please excuses the run-on sentences and horrible grammar.

when she said he was a fake, she didn't even know who he was
I agree. She both physically and verbally sparred with him the first 2 times meeting each other. She liked his introspective and artists qualities more than the bombastic prideful version of himself. She told him to stop pretending to be someone he isn't.
She's been raised as an assassin, she had to learn to read people quickly. She doesn't trust Ak Hee because he puts on airs and is a lair. Hyun on the other hand is thoughtful with his actions and vulnerable in a way that Yeon Wol connects to on a deeper level...even after just that first conversation.
Hyun, like Wol, (at first meeting) are in professions that go against the gendered stereotypes that the King had forced on the people. That alone would have sparked her interest.

Am I the only one that thinks that Sajo Hyun's bodyguard has a secret relationship with the queen? Or maybe they…
I think that they knew each other growing up. She has only been at the palace for a year. His bodyguard only came to the palace a few months ago. Weeks at the start of the show. I think he must have left the queens orbit prior to the crown princess selection process starting. She spoke about the person she missed having disappeared in this episode some I'm assuming she was talking about the bodyguard. I'm also assuming that either he planned to enter the palace after finding out that she was there or he had always planned to work within the palace guard. Either way I don't think he has ill intent for Sajo Hyun.

wait, did Ak Hee self-destruct himself or something ? just like that ? what about us the people in the Ak Hee…
I think he was just shutting his eyes, because unlike Hyun, Ak Hee can sometimes look in on what Hyun is doing when in control of the body. He didn't want to see them together, nor did he really want to see Wol(Gyera) leave.

Title A Shop for Killers Spoiler
So theory as I haven't read the source material, and that means i can go full conspiracy theory if i want to....so please indulge me this.

Brother, was found on the last mission that Jeong Jin Man had before visiting his family. He was possibly only in town to set Brother up in the shop below his house.(though i still suspect that someone made his mother sick/killed her to lure him out).
9 days later Jian is now in Jin Man's custody. I feel like Jin Man would have stressed that Jian is Brother's mission...to watch over & let him know when she is in danger. That he is her Brother, like Jin Man is her Uncle. Brother is the one who would have heard her scream out "Jeong Jin Man, Jeong Jin Man, Jeong Jin Man!" the few times that Min Hye spoke of.
Bae Jung Min, never was helping her uncle with anything. He has something to do with his death & used his past with Jian to finish cleaning up the crime scene(or investigate it himself)...the cop was definitely in on it as well. Jung Min was in that town as a child, but he hasnt even been seen other than that one scene in front of the storage room. With how observant Jin Man is I figure he got that kid the hell away from Jian as quickly as possible.

I'm interested to see if anyone else will show up to protect the code Green, & if they would have infiltrated the other side.

Jeong Jin Man was shown faking an injury & fever in ep3 to train Jian survival techniques....so the theory that he is actually still alive could be a possibility. & the weird looks the cop was giving about the autopsy would have been about not wanting cut into his very much alive friend. I personally think this is the least likely possibility, but if he wanted to lure out all his enemies at once this is one way to do it and as a final test for Jian to take over his business. He always stepped in once she took care of the initial threat to her. The lead dog, the 2 other men...so I feel like he would have already popped back up by now.

Glad it's 8 episodes as it's keeping the pacing tight & dynamic. It also means everything shown and said is or will be important later on.

love love love the way Ji Hyuk drops certain info (like the cat) so calmly and kindly. he gives space to all of…
Yu Ra has been mentioned a few times, so I think she might could possible still pop up. But I think that if the webtoon is long they might have cut some plot devices to save for time. I haven't read it so I'm unsure how pivotal of a role that character plays in the overall story.

After 2 episodes I am bored. Will this get better or worse?
It's gets better imo, but I also thought the first two episodes were interesting sooo...🤷🏻‍♀️
Ep8 is when they start really moving pieces in the game.
