I find it absurd that the character can't simply say no or end the relationship. It's quite frustrating, and it…
Abuse...emotional abuse, of this nature is very hard to readjust to what is true and what is fabricated. It's a form of brainwashing. The brain needs to be reprogramed before true action can happen. Telling someone they are being abused and to leave the person abusing them NEVER works the first time. THEY have to fully accept that the behavior they are experiencing isn't right and make the choice to leave themselves. Emotional abuse can be slow and brushed off as "just a bad day" or "he didn't really mean it" or "I messed up it's only right that he's upset with me" because the abuser makes the victim think THEY are the ones in the wrong. That it's THEIR(victim) fault that they(abuser) are upset.
I spent 2 hours listening to an employee talk(sob uncontrollably for a while there) about, what was very obviously to me to be, her extremely emotionally abusive relationship only for her to try and rationalize everything he had said and done. She talking about some of the most fucked up behavior I have ever heard as though it was NORMAL... I kept having to repeat that his behavior and words were messed up and not okay. That her feelings DID matter. I had to toe the line of flat out saying "That's abuse. That's manipulation." I finally told her to keep a log of things he says and does that upset her, so that when he "apologizes" and tries to downplay his words and actions she can remember her truth/reality. When a person's entire world revolves around their abuser it is extremely difficult to get out. She broke up with him a few weeks later only to get back together when he threatened to kill himself...a real peach that one...For reference she's been dating this person for less than a year...
With Ji Won she doesn't want someone else to solve her problems, but she is still processing the trauma of being killed by her husband of 10 years and betrayed by who she thought was her best friend of 20+ years. Everything she thought she knew was a lie. She gave them allowances in their behavior prior because SHE would never intentionally be hurtful, so it wouldn't make sense that her best friend "meant" to be mean or thoughtless. Also, statistically speaking 34% of female murder victims in the US alone were perpetrated by an intimate partner or former partner, for men 6%. -bjs.ojp.gov 2021 findings. Making it HIS idea is the safest exit strategy for her.
Min Hwan’s second proposal in the new timeline had “Spring Day” in the fireworks display. What did that…
It's to tell Ji Won subtly that he(Ji Hyuk) was behind the change in proposal. As this is also her birthday he gave her a gift....a move on their chessboard.
AkHee would normally be a character that I would go for. The "I'd burn the world to save you" type, but.....Wol reads more as the "I can sacrifice myself to save the world" type of person. I just need Ak Hee to stop acting like a child whose toy was taken, and act like a damn man/demon. Punishing someone for their feelings is a weak move. This, whatever it turns out to be next episode, is going to blow up in his face. Wol is just as, if not more, observant than Ak Hee.
A pet peeve of mine with characters and humans irl, is when communication is available but one or more parties refuse to participate in said communication. Even an "I don't know how I feel about him or you" from Wol would work if Hyun/AkHee would take two seconds to stop pissing circles around her and let her speak. I hate it when someone tries to tell me what i feel. Hyun is just as bad as Ak Hee when it comes to communicating, but he just has a harder time hiding his internal feelings/thoughts. (Park Ji Hoon is really nailing the subtle differences between the two personalities. He is playing Ak Hee, acting as Hyun...acting-ception. ) I haven't read the webtoon so I could be way off base, but if this is a case of DID and not a supernatural entity sharing the body of a prince/king....Ak Hee would be the protector. He would be hyper aware of everything around him. A seducer rather than a people pleaser to get what he wants. Playing down his strategic side as to not appear to be the threat he is.
The boy playing jung min is 28?? Wtf. I thought he was a teenager
He hasn't really changed much since 2012(17 years old) when i saw him in 'May Queen'. His eyes a bit. Not shape or anything, just the look of experience/knowledge. His body & jaw are more adult male than adolescent, but that giant sweater is hiding that. He is kind of the male version of Jang Na Ra.
This show has me hooked and not once did I press the 10 second ahead skip button. Now my question is why do they…
that server probably has access to things they want. Also money, that shop has billions of dollars in contracts & assets associated with it. The programs might have fail safes that will default to Jian when Jin Man died. As the manual for handover was super thick I'm going to assume that we will learn more about the business later. & Brother knows a lot more as well. If Jian listens to her uncle & stops arguing with Brother she could get a leg up on the new group coming in. I'm sorry, but I would have trusted Brother a bit more as her uncle clearly put him there. The second Bae Jung Min tried to shut him up for simply saying when he arrived at the shop....yeah 🚩🚩🚩
The King just needs to really notice that his bodyguard and the Queen have a history & tension & push them together.…
🤣🤣🤣💀 I get it. She's so focused on the wrong things. I dont even think she actually likes him as a person at all, just what he represents(power) for her family.
I'm glad it's following the webtoon for the most part--one change in how the ML died, but I'm okay with the change.…
if they didnt already alter it in the script before PMY signed on im sure it would have been requested to change as she is an advocate for the prevention of how he died in the og version.
Na In Woo gets finer after every episode. Idk how did I not notice this hot guy earlier?! 🔥
everyone gaslighting people saying he isnt attractive because of this and that....like do they need glasses? His real personality is a bit goofy as i believe he's the youngest on 2Days1Night atm. so maybe they arent used to seeing him "bring the thunder" (smolder) 😈😏 i also need people to notice that the stylists/costume/wardrobe people know what they're doing in this show. They first dress him in ill fitted suits as he isnt paying attention to his style & just going through the motions. when he comes back he updates his style as he has a focus & purpose.(also he comes from a time where the styling is different....2013 was a rough year for men's fashion...not gonna lie)
We watch a series for the plot, acting, cinematography not only for an actor who acts in it. Take your fangirling…
as i tend to gravitate toward female lead shows even when it's a romcom it just doesnt make sense. i totally get it if it turns out like a Drew Barrymore in 'Scream', where they promote the film featuring her in promotion material only for her to die in the first 5 to 10 minutes never to be seen again. this whole plot revolves around the grief & confusion one has when a loved one dies and the one left behind realizes they didnt truly know their loved one. i love all the flashbacks & how random he is with her.
oh that would drive me up the wall. i like when the translators leave notes about the meaning but then continue with the word as is. honestly my biggest pet peeve with netflix though there are numerous issues the most annoying is when they shorten the name being used. so when a character is saying Park Ji Hoon they only write Ji Hoon completely, imo, changing the relationship/familiarity of the two characters speaking. Oh! putting the name of the character instead of the TITLE their subordinate /sibling is using! I'm like, 'what in the lack of context is this?' I'm so glad that I have at least basic Korean listening comprehension for those moments. also the Korean speakers in the timed comments always come through on viki when context is left out for timing/space.
I hope that Queen bitch dies so that Kyera can become the main person beside Sajo Hyun. Lmaooo I’m rooting for…
The King just needs to really notice that his bodyguard and the Queen have a history & tension & push them together. Like, 'Hey, i dont like you like that, but i want to be a team. You have his babies, they can be the next king blah blah blah TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK.
