no no, that's not what I meant. I meant to say that when he got his life back, he also got back a faint, just barely there golden core - weak but present. wwx obviously cannot hold suibian for long and actively avoids doing so in his new life but he DOES fight with it so it's safe to assume that he does have a core, just not a strong one. Maybe as weak as mxy's core.
haha i'd like to think that cql!wangxian also engage in dual cultivation and wwx's core becomes just as strong as it was before. After that whether he chooses the sword path or the demonic cultivation path or both - well it's up to him.

hm in the drama, the curse is supposed to "cure wwx and get rid of all the injuries" so basically making his body as good as perfect and new. i am guessing his golden core also got restored? just enough that he can cultivate it further if he wants to.
because in the drama he did come back in his own body AND we see him wield suibian for a little while.

i think wwx's line of thought probably must have been "we used to be soulmates(zhiji) because we were equals and now that I can no longer walk the same path as you (cue looking at chenqing), i would not dare think of you in such a manner". Tragic, really.

if i remember correctly, in episode 44, when wangxian go to the burial mounds, wwx asks lwj to protect him and also makes a comment along the lines of "you know this body has low spiritual power" when lwj questions him about Suibian. What did wei wuxian exactly mean by that comment? does that imply that he now has a golden core, albeit a weak one?
