Wow, I just found this - by accident, I might add. I didn't know that this epilogue existed.

alexsouza: "Clothes and hairstyles look..." Are you sure about that? Have you watched many pre-Joseon historical drama - especially those from at least ten years ago? The hair and clothes are, loosely, pretty much what I would expect from any period drama from Baekje, Silla, GoGoryeo, etc.

I intended to ask this, but managed to work it out for myself after reading some other comments. I imagine that:

1. This was made long before the limit was set on episode time and / or number of episodes per drama.
2. As it says just above (@julymoon) (edit: and again below) this drama is currently banned in China - whether because it has Korean actors in the cast or because of the ML's scandal (I don't know which) - and has come to us via Japan, after they bought the rights. Presumably, the Japanese 'powers that be' don't have such rules about episode length, etc.

P.S. Unless you meant that the episodes are not actually 60 minutes long and that MDL has erred?

Well said, Janelle. I haven't watched this drama (1 or 2) so I am not quite sure who the 'rapist' was supposed to be. I do wish Kim Kim had replied to your post - I'd like to have known whether your rebuke fell on deaf ears, or not.

Thanks for the lengthy reply. (As I said before, I was not making an opinion either way.) I remember the part where he said he was sorry, but thought that he had caused it. I must have been concentrating on something else at the time.

I have no comment to make about your post one way or the other except to say, "What am I missing?" Did the ML not orchestrate the death of the FL's family as part of his plot to gain the throne? Perhaps I need to watch that episode again.

If you wanted particularly to watch it for YZX, watching until the end of 23 will give you a happy ending.

I haven't read the book and I have only watched up to ep. 16, but have 'flipped', as it were, through eps. 17-21. Thus I don't know if she has regained all of her memory or just part of it.
Re your comment above, is it possible that she returns to her earlier life in an effort to find out everything that happened or to get revenge on the woman/people who 'killed' her, or some such?

If you think about it, it makes sense that Situ's mother wanted to punish the grandmother by killing her family, which included Shen, in a tit-for-tat move. The matriarch had to be left alive to feel the loss of her family. I have not read the novel but I would conjecture that Shen was the son of a first wife.
Why else would the grandmother only want to kill the wife and HER son?
