Sorry, my bad. I was remembering the part where the 2nd FL said that she was the 9th princess after they had switched.

Someone else pointed out (just below me) that it may have been someone else who ordered their deaths. I shall have to watch that part of episode 1 again. Did we actually heatr him say it, or did we just hear sombody else pass on the order?

P.S. Did you read my comment below? Wasn't it the ML who gave the orders? I shall have to rewatch that part of ep. 1.

Her mother may have been from the Enaqi tribe, but do we know what tribe the father is from? (I am not sure if it was mentioned in ep. 1.) FL would have been of her father's tribe. FL seems to be the only princess of her tribe whereas the 2nd FL was the ninth princess of her own tribe.

Does anyone know if this is based on a novel? I have made some comments about the first episode (marked as a spoiler) below.

I am surprised that nobody has commented on the fact that the ML, the North Lord, is the one who ordered her, her mother, and their retinue to be killed outside the city gate when they begged for asylum. I wonder how they will deal with this issue later on. Will it be a 'I love you but I must kill you for revenge' ending, for example?

Did not the North Lord's people pass on the message that she had this desert scroll? Later he appears to be travelling incognito as a merchant and is very interested to discover that the FL is in possession of same. (Please don't tell me its a 'twin trope'!)

Or have I misread the plot thus far? (When I have watched a few more episodes I may revise my opinion.)

As it is not written in the synopsis (on MDL), and there is no mention of it up to the end of episode 8 (unless I missed it) how is it known by viewers that she is a former assassin?

Any thoughts on why he would snap her neck given that she was about to die? (Apart from the fact that he is a right nutter, that is.) - Yes, an assumption on my part, but characters are always just about to die, aren't they? Was this taken from the novel, anyone?
