Ep 7 - I thought after the disastrous ep 6 this series rendered unwatchable, but not, Ep7 was fine, just fine, tolerable. Finally the FL reacted somehow (I thought she was "dead" last ep) and saved the storyline somehow. It could become interesting if they portrayed the ML stepping forward in a smart way, not in a moron way, facing his past. Let's see if they gave the FL some intelligent material to work with for the rest of the series too.

Happy Anniversary XuJin! 😍🥳🎉Yesterday they celebrated with the Lagogos in Thailand one year of having met in person for first time (if we remember ZheXu had an "eye" for Mi Jin even before he imagined he would meet him). Lagogos in situ said it was very tough experience as there was nothing really organised for them and in Thailand, fan meetings go for hours, so these two hard working artists entertained people from early evening to 3 am (and met fans remotely pass 4am). In X, as we know account holders love over dramatised things, some were very critical of the organisers of this Thai fan meeting, but actually, after watching dozens of clips I concluded, this was the best event because ZheXu and Jin Jin thrived in those challenging circumstance. They never lost their energy, spark and loving stance that have characterised them. They are great entertainers. Without shading anybody, I have seen Chinese artists in Thai meeting looking very much lost at moments. It is obvious they don have much "ammunition" to keep pushing forward without the production cues. Instead Xujin did not show awkwardness and coldness at any moment. They improvised and covered for the fault of the organisers. The were joyful until the moment the were walking together to leave the venue, and as usual, they were a warm support to each other. Every demand of the fans was met with familiarity, their hugs, Jin Jin resting his head on Xu shoulder, their flirty poses and touches. It was like they were constantly re-enacting ShuHe and ZiAng love. They are a wonderful CP. Some fans commented: "we chose the right couple to ship", I think so myself ❤️🙏

The last 3 episodes that relationship was very cold. We lost all the emotions of the previous episodes. Maybe a hint that they are not longer together, that did not work out? We will see.

Zhang ZheXu and Mi Jin gave their all to their performances as ZiAng and ShuHe. They really deserve recognition for their acting skills and praise for their generosity to each other and to us the audience. They hardly had any significant acting experience until that point, only what they were given by their professional training. I feel so moved by this clip, please have a look:

This has passed to be entertaining to be plain stupid. The rivalry of the 2 men is just ridiculous, it is not even funny. It could not get any worse than that. What a pity. with its limitation I praised this drama for being an improvement in relation to the manga, I am changing my opinion now.

I really liked this series. I can see that some people is hating this because they are rating it so low. 1st season went to 8.4. It has its faults but have brought original points that the previous one did not have. We see people going to the house under different circumstances and love expectation, and this could put some people off because they wanted the thrill of potential couples. The oldest went to sort his 15 years relationship, expose to an environment of potential dates he concluded he want to resume his relationship. Izaya and William story was the strongest plot in this series in romantic terms, but Izaya wanted a love story from the first episodes. Some people criticised William for not being decisive. I actually preferred his attitude. It showed more equanimity than Izaya. (and William was a great kisser!) My favourites are Bomi and Huwai, they are intellectually equals, they also like each other at more "cellular" level but because of the programme and Bomi lacks of experience, we have not see much physical affection. It is sad to see one leaving for school matters and the other for family matters, hopefully they will be reunited soon. Another interesting point it is to address the different "gay cultures", not because these guys are gay they love what people find representative of the community. I think season 1 gathered people with stronger and definer personalities, yet I found it too much at some point. I not always liked Shun and/or the Brazilian contestant. In this one, there is nobody particularly difficult or annoying. I like that balance.

It started as a disaster. Imagine how bad was the first shoot that they had to re-shoot again!? They have been having problems with casting from Season 3. At least in this season some of them are a bit likable.

This is true. However, I remember he was never a charming man. The fact that he has improved his physical appearance does mean he has improved his personality.

I have catched up with this season. As , Season 3 was a disaster, I was not sure. I think so far this is better. Without throwing hate to Lee Hyun-jun, the club manager ex of ChangMin, I would say he must be the dullest Korean man appearing in a reality show. Apart from his connection with CM and overall presence being very attractive, personality wise is flat as a pancake. In the Zoo he sparkled a bit, but just enough to let us know he is not a walking dead. I know there are not many Korean gay men willing to be expose like this but production should try harder. I think he was a good match for CM because CM was not the most cheerful personality either. They looked happy together for a while too. On the subject of being expose, we know that most of the people in this show are influencers or performers of some sort that crave for the attention. It is good for business. We know they have a script and they are willing to make things appear more extreme, but at least should be entertaining and not painful to watch like Season 3. Of course, so far it looks like Season 2 is still the winner.

So interesting. Thank you again @Yerisina. I appreciate every one of your deep dive which explain language. I know you have studied Chinese mandarin as well so it is a well informed analysis. There is so much we missed in translation, and this way of calling each other are part of the emotional texture of the scene that we don't come to enjoy. Particularly, with different translation teams and tools depending on the platform. Gagaoola tends to over romanticised terms while Viki tends to be very economical with words.

What is going on with k dramas? This is the third one that I am trying to watch patiently, there is nothing interesting, funny, or engaging in this sub standard plot. The leads performances are painful to watch. I have never thought that Hye Yoon was the best female actor in Korea but this role does not suit her at all, is she even trying? Lomon, well, what to say who hired him. So many filler scenes. What else is there to watch and we are only in 3 episode....

I watched this for Mi Jin as I loved Kill to Love, but it did positively surprise me, and it was very good 80% of the time. The FL character is really strong and it is good to see this in Chinese c dramas. It is also morally grey which make her more interesting too. Jun Wi as the ML is a cute presence, no the best c lead actor, but good enough for this role. The ending did not make much sense and there were "romantic" fillers scenes. These were cringy. Overall, a good effort. I liked Mi Jin acting (ML's second in command), another of his supporting roles in which he put his heart on it. He never disappoint.

I did not know Joo Bin, the FL, and she is lovely and a sound actor, so just for this I am grateful. Bo Hyun has such annoying character to play and at moment I felt like stop watching in the first ep, but I wanted to see FL how she was going to navigate awful life circumstances and I am glad I did. Bo Hyun character is evolving for better. His look here is so unpleasant to the eye that I feel like turning my face when he first appeared, like in a horror film, but I can tolerate him now. He is good for the role, is just the character is too cartoonish and obnoxious. Ju Young as the nephew is beautiful and his acting is sound, but his CP in this drama is so unpleasant, I cannot say any positive neither about the female actor nor about her character. I doubt it they are going to reverse that. The other secondary actors, particularly the female actors, are amazing and great characters too. Another k drama to watch if you don't have anything else to watch. It has good fun moments for sure.

The best point of this drama is that is a vast improvement in relation to the manga. The manga is atrocious, so anti-feminist, so there is a great effort here to make it more balance. Additionally, this is not in a school setting which would have been bad. It is entertaining so I am looking forward to the next episodes. The leads are alright, not the best actors in the k acting scene, but enough for this. Jin Hyuk is cartoonish, but is alright for the role. Very visually attractive man overall. He is making the most of his assets as he is not the best looking k lead actor. Yeon Soon has an awful wardrobe so that part is not helping her. Still is it a good presence. I would say, if you are bored and don't have a better drama to watch, watch this. It is good fun.

This is not good. I keep persevering as to comment in an informed way here, but it is not a positive watching experience. I am even struggling to make sense as the reason why the production decide to go ahead with this plot . Maybe something positive is showing a bit the reality of alcoholism? but it is very wishy washy. I don't have any sympathy for the characters they don't have any redeemable qualities. Performances? the same k drama troupe. I am more comfortable washing Wo Ji An despite that her character does not make any sense. I never thought Seo Joon is great actor so in that sense I am not surprised but his character is even more annoying here. It is a miss for me.
