Can someone who read the book tell me what's the FL's arc? Because I liked the trailer, I think it looks beautiful,…
The story is mostly about the FL in the novel and the injustice she endured and inflicted upon by her own family. She's clever and quick witted and even better than ML at playing chess. ML has growth too but all ML's story happens "off screen". I've read 2/3 of it. The first 1/3 is about them surviving... they fell in love in that part. Of course they support each other. They're in love and married with children. ^^
Guys, does this have a βmarried first, fell in love laterβ trope? iβm interested in watching it!
In the novel, they fall in love then get married and have children. It's like a slice of life of a married couple. The girl is a clever indoor noble woman and the boy is someone in the military and getting promotions thoughout his career. But his story is off screen in the second half of the book. I hope in the drama adaptation we can get more otherwise this will become another female centeric plot.
This was so exciting and keeping me on edge till the very end! The idea was so brilliant. I wish this could've been a mini drama because that way it could explore more about the characters.
I think this one can pass as a standalone. But if you know the characters beforehand it may charge you with nostalgic…
In The Nanyang Mystery they met Zhang Qishan aka Zhang Da Foye and his friends, Ba Ye (8th Master), Jiu Ye (9th Master), and Liu Ye (6th Master) who were from Mystic Nine or Jiu Men.
anyone who has seen the original mystic nine how much do you think it will connect with this one. I just started…

Yeah. I'm still missing them. Loved them so much. The characters' emotional bonds were so heart wrenching π’…
The pain and loss feelings hit so hard... Their love for each other is unforgettable. The relationship between the three of them was unique. Their love was so beautiful and strong.
Awh that's sad βΉοΈ I really liked ep18. I also watched it slowly over a whole month but I wasn't watching anything…
They wanted to show us his mental breakdown, his extreme mood shifts, and his struggles with the dark thoughts that weren't his . That was a very a good episode regarding that. Otherwise we couldn't have get the emotion and understanding needed for what is to come in next episodes.
I recently rewatched this. I first watched it when it was just released. I gave it 9/10 at that time bc of the ending. Now after rewatching it, I could understand the ending and the fact that I rewatched the whole thing and enjoyed again thoroughly, made me realize that it's actually a 10/10 for me. I really really liked the main story. The characters and their stories. I specially loved Mu Sheng's character and his growth throughout the show. This wasn't a story about a girl suddenly coming to a Novel's world. It was about Mu Sheng mainly. The CGI was really good. Visuals breathtaking and the music outstanding. Regarding the acting, Ding Yuxi nailed it. A part of my love for Mu Sheng is bc of the way Ding Yuxi portrayed him. Will rewatch it again someday. β€οΈ
