This is an exceptional drama! Superb wuxia with beautiful cinematography, fantastic action scenes, and great computer generated images. The drama has a solid storyline and it offers great moments that deliver a varied range of emotions. Everything is excellent about this fantasy adventure drama but what makes it exceptional is the actors. The cast performed as if every character was made solely for that specific actor, and they truly owned their characters! [Side note: The leading couple grew up together, taking care of each other and, in the process, through a fated connection, developed a pure, intense, and beautiful love.] Enjoy it!

Di Qi Ci Xin Tiao (2025) is a romance miniseries with Ben Wang as Lu Jingchen and Ma Xin Yu as Qin Ruyan/YanYan in the lead couple’s role. This is a miniseries that has a mystery surrounding the female lead and a man that falls for her at first sight. The lead couple has some really nice intimate moments but the female lead’s facial expressions don’t convey a loving warmth as her gaze seems detached from her emotions. The lead couple’s characters are intelligent, strong, and somewhat mysterious but, if not for the male lead’s suave, passionate, and warm persona, the romance would not have been believable. The drama’s plot has too many things going on and, sometimes, not all issues are resolved clearly, and no amount of passion nicely portrayed by the male lead, can overcome the female lead’s detached demeanor.

Yu Jian Xin Ruan De Shen (2025) also known as: "Meeting the Soft-Hearted God."
This drama is a great romance drama with Wang Haozhen (as Qin Mo) and Yang Shuyu (as Jiang Wan Sheng) on the leading couple’s role. The cast did a great job bringing their characters to life and the drama portrays a realistic evolution of love between Qin Mo and Jiang Wan Sheng. They have a beautiful romantic and playful chemistry. As they spend time together, they derive strength and warmth from each other. This drama is well done and a nice treat for romance drama lovers. Enjoy it!

This is yet another version about the female lead (FL) gets together with the male lead (ML) after her scumbag fiancé cheats on her with her sister. The ML is her fiancé’s uncle who falls in love with the FL and pursues her constantly. Even though the ML realizes her love for her later on, he’s always been protecting and caring for her. The downfall on this version is not the acting but the way the FL’s character was written and her obsessively strong feeling of responsibility for her deceased mother even when she knew that she didn’t love her fiancé and that he didn’t love her back. On top of that, no matter how much the ML did for her, it was not until the very end that she became secure enough to believe that he truly loved her. There is also the terrible and absurd behavior and actions from the ML’s father. Although the drama has a happy ending, the way the story is written for the FL makes the drama’s romance tiresome. The ML’s character was much better written and Shen Hao Nan did a good job in his performance of Lu Zhao He (ML).

This is a nice drama that had the potential to be great but the usual lakorn clichés made it unbearable at moments. The leading couple had great acting moments but their chemistry on the romantic scenes lacked chemistry and their love story was incongruent. Although Moei was always in love with Tien and did everything possible to make him fall in love with her, once she succeeds, she becomes insecure and basically forces him to leave her to, later on, blame him for disappearing from her life. After their love for each other is ratified, the story becomes draggy and the male lead became a beggar for love. The last three episodes were full of unnecessary clichés. The story ends well but it lost momentum towards the end.

This is a good drama that missed the opportunity to be great. The plot brings about serious issues of school bullying, administration corruption, elite class privileges and advancement brought up through money, social outcast issues, revenge, and a nice romantic story. Although the story is well written, the actors did a great job delivering their characters, and the leading couple has good chemistry, the romance lost luster in the last episodes and the resolutions were rushed. Also, even though the story has a good ending, the drama lost momentum and the ending was cute but weak.

This drama is cute, but for been a sequel, it should’ve been done with the same actors as the first season. On this sequel the leading lady’s character is more over the top than before, but she manages to salvage her character with some profound moments, good romantic scenes, and super cute gestures. The supporting cast did really well, and Mike D'Angelo did very well on his characterization of mutant Xue Ling Qiao. At least Fingal Fu as detective Li Yan Zhi and Aro Yang as Feng Dong Dong, among a few other actors, were part of the original cast, which gave the sequel a familiar vibe. This drama is still entertaining. Enjoy it!

Chen Zhe Yuan (as Duan Jia Xu) and Zhao Lu Si (as Sang Zhi) have a refreshing, charming, and beautiful engaging relationship that dazzles the screen every time they look at each other. This drama has a great main and supporting cast that delivered a well crafted story of two individuals that, in spite of their age difference, managed to bring about a healthy and beautiful love story. This drama is for mature audiences with knowledge of how manga risqué writing works. Many manga works are full of extreme characters and situations that, when adapted to live drama, can leave a bad taste to some viewers. This drama is one of those. If the drama would have been done without the caricature like theme, it would have been much better. Taking aside the scenes that give the impression that the Hiroto is playing around with Risa, it is basically a common theme drama where rich older guy (with family trauma) falls in love with a childish shy girl that lacks common sense. While together, there are the common antagonists that want to set them apart, too many scenes where the Risa get into absurd situations to be saved by Hiroto coming to her rescue, and finally, a happy ending. Where then did this drama/manga go wrong? The writer wanted to maintain the audience doubting the Hiroto’s true feelings and good intentions for Risa so, their romantic encounters had been interpreted as lasciviousness and taking advantage of a naïve girl, who was not entirely naïve if you take into consideration her inner thoughts. Risa’s naivety was more lack of self confidence and ignorance about loving relationships with the opposite sex. Been naïve on this drama is equated to been stupid, which one is not synonym of the other. Having said all of these, this drama is about Hiroto been deeply attracted to shy Risa and falling in love for the first time. Risa takes an instant likeness to Hiroto and, through caring and seductive persuasion, falls madly in love with Hiroto who awakens the art of sensuality on Risa. Regardless of how the viewer sees their interactions, Hiroto and Risa truly love each other and they get to show that at the end of the drama. Knowing from the beginning that he truly loved her would have made this drama much more delightful and likely to have good rewatch value. Enjoy it!

The romance is slow burn but it is really worth the wait! Huai Wen and Fu Yu Shu portrayed their characters with such finesse and accuracy that gave the audience a natural, suave, steadfast, trustful, and beautiful romance.

GONE WITH THE RAIN is a very entertaining drama that revolves around the two female leads, Moxi and Feng Yao which, regardless of their status within their family, they manage to develop a strong relationship that stands the wrath of court and family shenanigans, love entanglements, misunderstandings, secrets, and betrayal. The drama is very well casted and the actors did a great job bringing their characters to life. Moxi and Feng Yao fall in love with Wan Jiagui that, in spite of been deeply in love with Moxi, he relents due to his family’s pressure and status. Then, there is Chen Wen De, the “antihero” and a force to be reckoned with, that, through a series of unfortunate events, gets entangle with Moxi and falls in love with her. This drama is a rollercoaster of emotions due to the strong and steadfast relationships that are formed by these four individuals and their determination to protect each other and bringing down the criminals that threatened their lives and the country’s stability. There is also worth mentioning the refreshing aspect of Moxi’s imaginary scenarios. Overall, this drama is fantastic and worth watching.

Jia Shen Ming (2025) aka: Marry a God is a cute miniseries romcom with ML: Yang Peng Cheng (as Zhao Jiyuan) and Zhang Jin Yi (as Fu Zhen) in the leading couple’s role. The cast did a decent job bringing their characters to life and the leading couple has a very nice, cute, and fun chemistry. The drama is lighthearted, the lead couple developed a steadfast loving relationship and, although the romantic scenes between the lead couple are not passionate, their interactions are very good and they share a common understanding when facing difficulties.

Wedding Night and Departure (2025) is a nice romance fantasy drama set within a historical era with male lead Ben Wang (as Rong Jiu Si) and female lead Li Ke Yi (as Mu Yun Shu). Although some palace antics and assassination plots are part of the palace's shenanigans , the drama could be consider lighthearted, especially due to Mu Yun Shu’s high-spirited and playful character, even though she can display good judgment in understanding situations due to the nature of the historical periods. The lead couple has good chemistry and their intimate moments were nicely done. Overall, even though the drama lacks the intensity on certain moments, the drama is nice to watch.

Secret Love (2024) is a nice romance drama with Shao Zhi Peng (as Shen Yan Ci) and Mao Sheng Er (as Xia Zhi Yao). Both Shen Yan Ci and Xia Zhi Yao (Yaoyao) liked each other for seven years but she was too young. Shen Yan Ci just got back from been away for three years and Yaoyao is finally an adult. There was never a confession before he left and now, I spite of their feelings, they are not sure if one feels the same as the other. So, Yan Ci accepts Yaoyao as his personal secretary and he uses all kinds of reasons to keep her close to him since the idea that physical and psychological nearness to others tends to increase interpersonal liking he hopes to turn friendship into a lovers’ relationship. It was really nice to see the development of their relationship. Shao Zhi Peng and Mao Sheng Er have a great playful and romantic chemistry with believable intimate moments. Even if Yan Ci’s persona was written a bit dull and the drama slows down at the end, it doesn’t take away from their great love story. Enjoy it!

No More Pretense: Mr. Huo's Daily Desire for Reconciliation (2024) is a nice romance drama with Wang Haozhen (as Huo Ling) and Cai Caiyun as Xiao Bai in the leading couple’s role. The leading couple did a good job bringing their characters to life but the plot relies more in the misunderstandings to create tension than in the couple’s feelings for each other. The leading actors had enough chemistry to provide a beautiful and tender romance but they spent most of the drama with a stoned or emotionless facial expression towards each other. If one looks at the male leads body language and concerned looks at the female lead, anyone can tell that he has liked her all alone. Still, the drama has a very nice ending. Enjoy it!
