Xian Shi Qian Jin (2022) is a nice romance miniseries with Li Jia Chen (as Huo Lin Chen) and Yu Zhong Li (as Jiang Mo) in the leading couple role. The drama has a lot of versions with different actors so it is difficult not to compare. In this drama the actors did a decent job bringing their characters to life and the leading couple had a good friendly, playful, and intimate chemistry. One thing that could’ve been done better is the lead couple’s facial expressions but, overall, the drama entertains.

Rainforest Passions (2024) is a great mystery romance short drama with Dai Gao Zheng (as Qi Chuan) and Zheng Miao (as Su Xia Mo) in the leading couple’s role. There is also some very well done action scenes and revenge on the plot. The cast did a very good job bringing their characters to life; the storyline was cohesive and the characters’ actions were driven by their true nature. Dai Gao Zheng and Zheng Miao have a fantastic chemistry and, although they loved each other deeply, Su Xia Mo and Qi Chuan’s hesitations can be understood taking in consideration their upbringing and circumstances among their relationship and that of the other characters. Overall, the drama is very entertaining, enjoy it!

Tao Hun Gong Lve Zong Cai Pian Yao Chong Wo Ai Wo (2024) is a very nice comedy with Chen Si (as Si Nian) and Long Yi Yi (as Lu Jing Chuan) in the lead couple’s role. The miniseries is listed as a romantic comedy so, there is obviously a romance plot line. The lead couple is incredibly cute together and Chen Si can really act charming and funny when he’s with Long Yi Yi, who naturally exudes cuteness all over. The intimate scenes are subpar but the overall playfulness and/or lovability before and after the amorous scenes make this miniseries worth of been seen. So, don’t watch if expecting an ardent romance but, if the viewer wants a lighthearted, funny, and pleasant drama, this drama will be pleasantly entertaining.

Rose Beloved (2024) is a very good romance miniseries with Chen Zheng Yang (as Fu Jiu Ye) and Yue Yu Ting (as Tang Li) in the leading couple’s role. The leading couple did a good job bringing their characters to life and they have good romantic chemistry. Both main leads are strong minded and smart, so, when they both understood how the other one really felt, they worked together to protect their love and their family. Their love for each other is steadfast and develops in a very smooth and pleasant way. The misunderstanding between the main leads is rational given the circumstances. The plot was well developed and the resolutions were not only logical but also justified. This drama is nice and entertaining, enjoy it!

Chong Sheng Hou Bei Wan Ku Lao Gong Guan Huai Le (2024) is a nice rebirth miniseries with : Yi Tong Ceng as Leng Yan and Hou Cheng Yue as Mu Xue in the leading couple’s roles. On her second life, she accepts Len Yan’s marriage proposal and, from then on, a strong alliance and a steadfast love between them make them a force to be reckon with. They joined hands in bringing down the ones who wronged them and also had their happy ending. There are some plot holes on the drama and some on the supporting cast need to improve their acting skills but the main couple really did a good job bringing their characters to life and they had very good loving and playful interactions. This is a very nice romance miniseries. Eric Zhang/Zhang Yun Tao( as Fu Han Sheng) and Bai Yan (as Tan Wan Xing) are the leading couple on this drama. The cast did a good job bringing their characters to life but the leading couple was really the ones that made the drama worth it. There is a case of mistaken identity, overuse of aphrodisiacs to try to control the ML and the leading couple doesn’t know the truth until the very end. The leading couple has great chemistry and they both will do what they can to protect one another. The realization of their true feelings for one another develops slowly throughout the drama’s duration but it is done well and nice to see. The one reason that is not rated higher was the ending; it’s a good ending but too rushed.

Fateful Love (2024) is a romance fantasy wuxia with Hans Zhang as Jun Bei Yue / 4th Prince and Zhu Xu Dan as Han Zi Qing as the leading couple. The series plot has too many attacks on the leading lady and the lead male is not always there on time to save her which made the plot repetitive and unnecessary with an incredible amount of characters that wanted her dead. The leading lady was capable and she did a good job performing her character as a strong and intelligent female lead. The male lead also did well performing his character so, where is the problem? Unnecessary characters that disrupted the flow of the story, the leading couple lacked romantic chemistry, and the end, although they seemed like they ended together, was not satisfying at all; he didn’t seem like he recognized her after saving her from the cave that she fell in at the beginning nor did he give any indication that he knew who she was when she embraced him, so much for a “fateful love”. This is a series where good and experienced actors seemed to just want to finish the drama and move on as fast as they can.

Please Remember Me (2024) could’ve been a great miniseries since it has a very good storyline, choreography, and cinematography; the cast did a very good job bringing their characters to life and the leading couple had a lovely chemistry but the ending messed everything up! Chang Yuan (played by Zhang Fei Fei) and princess Cai Yi (played by Wang Ya Ni) had a better ending than the leading couple. I guess that the writer thought he had written a masterpiece since some people seem to find the twist at the end to be aesthetic and pleasing but, as creative as it is, it ended up been a disappointing ending to a steadfast and endearing love story.

Crying and Sad (2024) is a “romance” drama that can be found on YouTube under the heading: “To escape her parents, the girl seduced a ruthless CEO, who ended up pampering her.” This is a nice lighthearted drama but the heading’s description is misleading. There’s no seduction done from the female lead Yu Sheng (played by Lin Zi Rong). Yu Sheng was drugged and ended up in an intimate encounter with the male lead Wen Zhu Qing (played by Zhao Guan Yu). This event is not seen in the drama and the miniseries starts on the day she finds out she’s pregnant. The leading couple is great and fun together planning on getting back at the antagonists but there’s no sparkling romantic chemistry between them. This is just a cute “romantic” drama with an unintended pregnancy, marriage of convenience, and a nice supportive male lead.

This more or less 38 minutes super mini drama is lightly based on the magnificent Korean drama Secret (2013) with Ji Sung as Jo Min-hyuk and Hwang Jung-eum as Kang Yoo-jung. The revenge of Xiao Anyu and falling in love with his prey was very well written and performed by the leading couple but the romantic scenes were block by body positioning taking away from the strength of Xiao Anyu’s conflicting feelings toward Lu Miam Miam. With these main actors, it’s a shame that this adaptation was not done into a longer duration drama because the actors performed quite well on this fast mini rendition.

The leading couple were truly made for each other; both are clever, wily, and subtle with a heart of gold! There are people trying to get(killed) them and they each became the other strongest support. The cast did very well bringing their character to life and the drama has some nice action, ridiculously funny scenes, and a well developed romantic storyline. The lead couple has very good chemistry and awesome facial expressions. Overall, a very enjoyable, lighthearted, funny, and entertaining comedy, enjoy it!

Detective Husband I've Never Met is a nice and cute miniseries about a princess Chonghua/Gongyi Yin (played by Liao Hui Jia) who was neglected on her wedding night and she goes to Tanwei Court to work as an official. Her consort husband Qin Mo (played by Wang Hao Ge) is the Minister of Tanwei Court who recognizes his wife even when she is dressed as a man. Gongyi Yin is very smart and has an extremely sensitive sense of smell and knowledge of different fragrances from herbs; Qin Mo allows her to join him in investigating a case and she offers a helping hand in solving the case while at the same time, by spending time together, they get to know more of each other and clear misunderstandings. The drama is funny and lighthearted but, even though the leading couple’s interactions are playful and often boisterous, their romantic moments were reduced to just one intimate moments at the end. Overall, the drama is one to watch while waiting for a great one to come; enjoy it!

This drama is a comedy with a good blend of action, suspense, thrilling moments, and a very slow burned romance that ends up been cute for the most part with a few nice romantic moments. The cast, for the most part, did a good job bringing their characters to life and the transmigration story with the female lead trying to change the story but losing control of the plot was well written. The male lead, Ji Chu (played by Ding Ze Ren), did a great job portraying the antihero that has an excellent character growth and did very well showing his feelings toward the female lead, but the leading lady, Hua Qing Ge (played by Ireine Song), was written as a modern woman that transmigrates to the past but behaves like a teenager with some serious mistrusting issues, almost all the way to the end. She did well with her comedic lines but she was too stiff and feeble as a woman in love. Overall, the drama is quite enjoyable and entertaining; it has great cinematography and a beautiful and well suited OST.

The leading couple is strong together and apart, they truly fall in love and supported each other against antagonists’ continuous plotting to bring them down but they lack romantic chemistry and their amorous scenes were covered up meticulously shifting the body from the camera. Overall, although there are some parts of the drama that are interesting, the actors didn’t perform with the intensity that the plot needed to bring this drama to a higher standing.
