I have more issues with how the story was told in this drama…the pacing and the editing 😓😓😓.

This for me goes to Chen Zhou Fei, who did Dashing Youth and Whisper of Fate recently…his cinematic vision is impressive!

Late to drop in for the challenge, at least catching up on Day15…for me in 2025, it has to be Luo YunXi’s SLY/Whisper of Fate😍😍😍🤩🤩🤩.

Yup, there are quite a couple of plot holes…and ML definitely have very powerful hero amour, but it’s CY, so viewers will get by.🤷🏻‍♀️

Yup as Eya replied below, you get to see how the sister helps to set up and capture her Uncle and also helped with the stabbing. Xu Lu definitely has the ruthless look in her eyes, not a damsel in distress.

I am liking Xu Lu’s character so far, in latest ep.6, you see her shades of grey surfacing 🤩.

👍🏻well analyzed, agreeing with you, definitely different from his role as LLH. XHA uses strategies to gain win and less martial arts trained. I am at ep 6, although that are scenes of him moving fast and skilled and no mercy in killing…I still didn’t have a sense that he can fight.😅 But who knows that we may be surprised.

1. The ghouls mom put her there. It’s mentioned in the novel, drama just hinted it. In novel XS survived and live with the ghouls, in drama they just assumed he died from the fall.
2. IMO, this is director intention to set up for season 2, but we know there won’t be one. So conclusion, this director just doesn’t explain things and choose to leave it to viewers speculation.
3. I also ask why too🤷🏻‍♀️. The story just pointed only the ‘blade’ family can use the sword and skills to kill fiends…🤷🏻‍♀️ Not much rational logic over it.

Nope…no logic and rationale around it, it’s like a lot of Sci-Fi fantasy, the usual qns is why no one think about it and research it?🤷🏻‍♀️ If you read the origin story, you will find that fiends species creation is such an ironic species, they are probably created to keep the smart human in check, and eco system balance😅. And the human hunter were the ones who cause the rip between the barriers for fiends to learn they can escape. As the origin story, the hunters were sent by Emperor Qing to find immortality drugs and they discovered the fiends are immortal hence they were hunting them.
Just sharing some thoughts. Wei Yu (the novelist)’ work is fun to read with the fantasy element and cool ideas but can’t dwell too deep into the rationality and logic.
