Just by looking at the picture of the actor playing JC he doesn't look like a leading male lead, at least not…
Everyone said exactly the same thing when Mark Chao was cast to play Ye Hua....and look now. No one can imagine any other actor playing this role. The actor playing JC is the reason why I keep on watching this drama. You should give it a try; he grows on you and he is playing a very charismatic god of war, not a playboy or naive character.

you're right about Yang Mi & Ni Ni, but I prefer TMPB support cast better.
Maybe I am biased then; I just don't think I've ever liked FL trying to act cute. I think the only one that I found actually cute (and where it made sense for the FL to act like this) was the FL in Ashes of Love as she had to be clueless for her character's growth. Yes, I was looking forward to a grown up FL as I don't see the rationale behind her acting like this. Maybe it is also to shows how the character grows since there are 60 episodes...

Same for you, why are you so butt hurt about my comment? Is he your brother? Since when are people supposed to like every actor? Isn't this a place where people are judging dramas and even rating them? You are so immature, get over yourself. I don't care what the GP thinks of him; this is my personal opinion and I know some people love him. I started watching this drama because I wanted to see if he had improved or was acting better. And for the rest of the cast. He isn't better though and he takes most of the screen time, hence me dropping it. If you can't cope with someone's opinion you should abstain from replying to them.

And I didn't reply to you. Are you mad? My comment was a personal opinion. You didn't have to reply if it bothers you or you don't agree. It is a platform for EVERYONE and you are obviously free to disagree. But who do you think you are to say that I have a bitter heart just because I dislike a performance . and actor!! You have serious issues.

Ugh. I don't think the music is bad, but I think they tried to keep the OST toned down a bit more to match the…
But music can still capture a more "mature" feel. I actually don't feel like the main couple looks that much more mature than Yang Mi and Mark Chao. They annoyingly used the same childish voice for the FL but the feel, for me, is the same. The only difference is that Ye Hua was very expressive and affectionate from the start with the FL. I can't remember any music in this drama which is a shame as it could add a more epic feel, especially since the ML is so charismatic as the god of war.

Thanks for the response. Yes, I picked up the gap but I still find it pathetic and his character is really too cheesy IMO. He was also really corny in NIF. I don't like the storyline nor the actor. I will drop this one. Enjoy! :)

Title Novoland: Eagle Flag Spoiler
So the ML goes from full-on hatred towards his father for killing the family who brought him up to "I want to do something for your kingdom" by episode 2. He is already so corny and I not impressed with any of Turbo's dramas. Such an overrated actor...

One thing I find really disappointing is the ost. The sound director has let us down with this one. Not sure if he is the same who worked on TMOPB but music is critical in these types of dramas. The ost in dramas like TMOPB and Ashes of love was absolutely divine and really helped the build up of feels/emotions. Not sure why the music is almost nonexistent here. Maybe that's also one of the reasons some people can;t connect with this drama despite the great visuals.

Quick translation of the trailer for those who don't speak Chinese! JC: Ling Xi, I want to take you as my wife.…
Seriously, why don't you consider opening a YT channel/ or any other platform and translate Chinese dramas? That could be lucrative for you with ads or subscription fees considering the number of viewers. Websites like kissasian and dramacool make a business out of stealing others' work. We, audience, seriously need more translators beyond Viki and I'd rather pay an independent translator than Viki (I have a viki pass). PLEASSSSSSSSSE LOL. I would do it if I could speak Mandarin.

maybe china drama fans are not as much korean drama. If this drama have more viewer maybe sub can fast.
Korean dramas have lost their momentum. Literally everyone I know who is into Asian dramas watches Chinese dramas these days (they are all non Chinese). If a production company like Croton has a Youtube channel, surely they are trying to target an international fanbase (most Chinese people wouldn't watch dramas on Youtube) so it really doesn't make sense.

Same, the ML has a very attractive/sexy aura to me (he grows on you) but I really see no appeal with the FL.

It is being eng subbed by kissasian themselves, the subs are not the incomplete and poor ones from youtube. Five…
Nope, Kissasian doesn't have a team of subbers. Just like Dramacool they copy from other sites. I believe only viki, the production companies themselves or sometimes fans (through Youtube and Facebook) translate. All the other sites plagiarise.

Yang Mi does nothing for me acting wise; she is popular but I never found her acting appealing. However, I do not like Ni Ni here either. She is trying way too hard to be cute...just doesn't look convincing at all IMO.

Waiting for subs is soooo difficult! So glad it's being subbed though.
Considering the budget of these dramas and the international audiences I am really shocked that the production company is not subbing more and faster. I mean, there aren't lots of dramas of these scale and surely using a few translators wouldn't cost much seeing how much money they invested in the CGI, etc.

He’s honestly such a good guy. His characterization is so different from a lot of male lead. The definition…
The director realised after Ye Hua that the audience is tired of watching the same old pretty boyish faces that often can't act. When Mark Chao was cast I remember so many detractors were complaining about it as he wasn't good looking and fresh enough. These actors are sooo charismatic, they literally steal the show. I personally don't watch for the FL.

OMG JingXiu is sooo manly in ep.26, he's actually very responsible for his people! I also kinda feel how JC feels…
That's exactly what I thought watching it but you said it beautifully. It must be heart warming for him.

I honestly forgot about her role in UL. It was indeed a totally different character. But I just don't like her acting here, just too bubbly/bright. Maybe the direction is bad...don't know.
