Do we also want to talk about Skorea's drinking culture? people drink so much because they are overworked,it's…
Like literally drunk people there have caused the some of the most gruesome rape cases ever, but it's so crazy that the perpetrators actually received lenient sentences because they were drunk!! Like WTF!! So against drug users, but nothing, zero steps against alcohol (or even tobacco) addiction.. Make it make sense.

I am not defending the hate comments about her looks or age, but since the drama is still airing, chances are…
I don't know how many times I need to type this, I HAVE SAID AGAIN AND AGAIN I AM NOT SUPPORTING THOSE COMMENTS THAT YOU HAVE MENTIONED.

IN FACT, I WROTE THOSE ARE WRONG.

And I really don't know how I am being inhuman by giving very realistic solutions to how to handle these comments.
Comments can be turned off. And like that's literally a thing people do!!
Cutting out her scenes will also remove the negative spotlight from her for the time being, again that's a solution too, to stop the unnecessary hate she is receiving. As well as canceling the drama. And even sending out a statement by the agency will in most circumstances quell the spread of hate.

And I don't know how any of these are inhumane when these are all the possible ways in which the hate comments directed towards her will stop or at least lessen

Casting crew and director while at fault, is not the whole reason an actor or actress delivers a good or bad performance.…
If she is a newcomer, she shouldn't have taken up such a complicated role, in her first main gig. Also once you finish acting the scenes, you sit down and watch them and in that time if you still can't notice your mistakes, you can't really blame others for it.
In TIH, everybody's character is terrible, the whole script is badly written, including the two MLs. The second female lead barely has any screen time and she is doing a role that could easily come off as bratty, spoiled, annoying, nasty, etc but Choi Hee Jin is acting really, really well, a majority of the audience in love with her acting.

So why is it that only the FLs acting is being commented on?? The answer is regardless of the writing she has only ONE EXPRESSION throughout the drama. Only One. And yes she is a newcomer, (but newcomers can also do quite well, Squid Game actress did it)., however, that one thing doesn't excuse her terrible performance.

If you're not experienced, simply don't take up such complicated characters to portray.

Me being a positive or negative person has nothing to do with this.

Again, as long as this drama is airing, for the entirety of the time she will be on our screens, we will as the audience, watch her act as the FL, and hence, we will be judging her, as a matter of fact, and also all the other actors in TIH. You can't watch a drama without judging the actors!! It's literally the profession. One performance doesn't make her a bad actress, absolutely, but for this one drama, she is being a terrible actress. But do I hope her acting gets better in future episodes? 100%. But if she doesn't, criticism will mount.

And again if she is going into depression and mental health issues her agency needs to write out a statement, stop the drama or cut out her scenes, and close up the comment sections.

But as an actor, you will be judged on the same topic every single time, the topic being your acting. THAT'S THE WHOLE PROFESSION.

I am not defending the hate comments about her looks or age, but since the drama is still airing, chances are…
Like I wrote before I am not defending the comments about her age or looks, those are wrong and shouldn't be talked about or written about. BUT at the same time, criticism of her acting is NOT HATE.
Hong Su Zu is acting as a female lead (not a small side role, second lead or guest role) against two famous male lead actors and thus she will and should be "infinitesimally judged, in excruciating detail". That's literally the point, and if she had acted well it still would have been "judged infinitesimally, in excruciating detail" and she would have been applauded for her acting prowess.
She should write out a statement if her mental health is being affected, the drama should be canceled right now, and the comments on her IG can be turned off if it's affecting her. But the point remains as an actress, as per her profession, she needs to learn how to handle criticism regarding her craft.

We can't just go "Oh my gosh, she is doing so well!!" when she literally is not.

Never hate actor, actress no matter how terrible their acting is. Blame casting crew and director. Its their duty…
Casting crew and director while at fault, is not the whole reason an actor or actress delivers a good or bad performance. They try to bring out the best, try being the key word here, but the actor or actress is the one who is performing, and for this reason the best acting awards don't go to the casting crew and director.

And I agree her character, the role of Hyewon is not exactly palatable for audience, but I disagree that talented actors can't do anything about it. Sumin from Marry My Husband was an outright antagonistic villain, but she did amazingly well. Moon Ga Young in Hyewon's role would also pull if off with ease.

Consider it as a bad drama and stop watching if u feel so irritated but what's the use of hating into the actress…
I am not defending the hate comments about her looks or age, but since the drama is still airing, chances are people will keep discussing her acting and the way she is portraying her character, even if she "gets the point" for the rest of the airing time and even possibly a few weeks or months after.
And this is both the right of the audience and something she signed up for when she decided to be an actress: To be infinitesimally judged, in excruciating detail.

What's so funny to me in countries with draconian drug laws, is the fact they make a scapegoat of the user, instead of focusing on the actual issue. And to spell it out, that is: where is this drug coming from?? How is it being smuggled into the country if you have such tight laws?? If they are prescription drugs how is the government so inadequate to apply preventative measures instead of jumping on the user, when they have already lapsed? Because, common sense says the people who are using it, are usually people calling for help, in other words, they are very likely mentally ill or incapacitated. And to think, in a country with very high depression rates, suicide, bullying, terminally decreasing population, the best measure to deal with a drug user is to throw them in jail and degrade them, with no support for mental health or rehabilitation. Where alcoholic addiction is also super high.
Yoo Ah In needs to survive this, he absolutely needs to make a return like Robert Downey Jr, if for nothing else but just to say, "I have dignity, all of us who have succumbed to depression and drug abuse, have dignity and worth, and a disease is just a disease. Nobody should be villainized and humiliated for a breakdown of mental psyche."

Inha and Taeoh? This is South Korea we're talking about.
Korea has been doing BLs for some time now ( Even Ahn Hyo Seop x Rowoon had their BL moment!!), and the first two episodes of this had a pretty strong BL vibe... In any case, it'd boost ratings for sure

One kiss between Taeoh and Huiju, or between Inha and Taeoh, or Hyewon getting hit by the white truck and the ratings will skyrocket again... I'm just sayin'

Bad writing, and bad acting is apparently the new trend of "being a different" type of drama...

Seriously, so weird. I feel like we should just report her comments now. Stan or not arguing with just about anybody here who is criticizing TIH is so crazy.
