I am so tired of everyone calling Huiju a stalker, but not Taeoh. Like why??? Cause she hit his car with her shoe?? Cause she is female?? Cause she is naive enough to believe in love, even if perhaps it's not?? When we don't even know what happened or didn't happen between her and the ML in the past 10 years?
While Taeoh has literally been researching, stalking, and trying to integrate himself into the game to bring down the chaebol family. But suddenly he is not a stalker?? He is not being toxic to her via obsessing over her entire family?? Why? Cause his nefarious intentions are not driven by "love"?? Cause he is a guy?? Like why??
Nobody in this series is a saint. Nobody. Then why this double standard?
And to answer people's burning question, in my humble opinion, none of the audience here was/is asking for the romance. We would be happy with a plot with political drama, corporate espionage, revenge between the 2MLs and the FL. But the writers introduced the love triangle, they are forcing the "romance" down our throats. SO here we are, judging it.
And why do we "ship" Huiju, the 2nd Fl, and Taeoh, even though they are both problematic? Because they have something called Chemistry, something, that is grossly lacking between the 2MLs with the FL. It's really not that deep.
(At least Huiju is true in her intentions, while can the same be said of the others???!!! Lol the audacity to claim she is solely the toxic one and needs to be called out!! Genuinely the sexism and misogyny of some of the commentators here are crystal clear).
Also the link here for anyone saying, he is being "forced", LMAO, how???? Dude is literally the one stringing her along in this convo, almost gaslighting:
Tae Oh & Hye Won kiss omg 🤣 When she is married to In Ha? Well then, More heartbreaks & angst lol. I live for…
The fanfics for Taeoh and Huiju are gonna be amazing lmao... And I feel bad for Hyewon, genuinely. After the kiss, people are probably gonna hate the character even more.
we can't blame her behavior, Tae Oh has not rejected her saying he does not love her or he has not said he can…
Yeah the next episodes should clear up their characters more for us, but for sure Inha, Taeoh and Huiju are the most intriguing characters and their plots draw me the most. Nice chatting with you!!
we can't blame her behavior, Tae Oh has not rejected her saying he does not love her or he has not said he can…
Everything about her to you (or in your opinion) and Taeoh's relationship is speculation. And again if both are problematic then neither one's action outweighs the other. Painting only Huiju as the crazy, stalking kind is simply wrong and honestly sexist. I am so tired of seeing female outbursts and rage portrayed always in a negative light.
And your English is pretty good! I think you come across really well.
we can't blame her behavior, Tae Oh has not rejected her saying he does not love her or he has not said he can…
Taeoh looks exhausted from the first episode, with everything even though he is the one planning and plotting. The hospital scene with Huiju literally shows the surprise of seeing each other. And unless we are assuming something happened there is no basis, given what we have seen (shown in the drama) so far for any interaction between them to have occurred in the past 10 years. So calling Huiju a "stalker" or "stalker-like" is just conjecture and malignation at this point.
And damage the car?? If she really wanted to she could have broken it literally with anything, her heel didn't even leave a dent. And Taeoh could have thrown the shoe, taken it out of her hand, he didn't have to grasp her wrist softly and give a monologue of how their families won't accept them and then go down on one knee to gently put the shoe back on her...
If he was exhausted with her antics he didn't have to act like Prince Charming while telling her not to dream a fairytale.
According to your logic, our mood shouldn't harm others but if Taeoh is planning on using her (as you speculate) for his own advantage just cause he wants to reach the top, then he is researching her and stalking her and again according to you "We can't justified everything she does because she is having problems in her life. Having problems don't give us the right to harm others".....
we can't blame her behavior, Tae Oh has not rejected her saying he does not love her or he has not said he can…
Stalking? How is she stalking Taeoh when it was never indicated or shown that in the intermediate 10 years they've even seen each other?
Her "crazy" actions in the garage could pretty much be a nervous breakdown from hearing about her impending forced marriage, a breakdown further enforced after seeing your first love again. And actually, if we are talking about toxicity Taeoh is pretty toxic himself. When a simple, I don't love you or I love someone else will do, he says things that string her along, bending down to gently put the shoe back on her, pretty much keeping her hopes alive.
This is funny cuz I don't find Lee Joongi that great of an actor whereas I think LJW is phenomenal
Listen as well, I am going to respect your very personal opinion, even if I( and suggestively a majority of the audience who watches Korean actors and actresses, movies and series, and dramas) don't agree with you. However, it would be good, if you don't look down upon the country's very highest awards in acting and on one of their most respected and senior artists.

Wait you don't think THE Le Joongi, is that "great of an actor"?!!
My man's won the Baeksang awards, Blue Dragon awards, Grand Bell awards, several, numerous awards for his impeccable acting! He is one THE best Korea has! Are we talking about the same Lee Joongi??!!!
Even shy girls are strong girls, introverted girls are strong girls. Literally, it's just that the character is…
Exactly!! Choi Hee Jin is pulling off the naive, bratty, endearing, spoilt, feisty, innocent, rich younger sister perfectly when it could have been super annoying and irritating. While I'm struggling to even understand the point of Hye Won, let alone like the character.
This is actually so good. I really like Ji Hyun and Bo Hyun's pairing, it's so subtle, but chica, the eyes, they don't lie.... and you can see the growing affection in them. It's soo slow burn, it's soo good!
Many seem to hate fl character but I think she is pretty interesting like I really wanna know about her character…
Even shy girls are strong girls, introverted girls are strong girls. Literally, it's just that the character is poorly written, coupled with the severe lifeless acting makes the character unwatchable for me. And like someone wrote below if probably someone like Moon Ga-young was playing the role of Hye Won, even badly written she would've excelled in this, even perhaps becoming a fan favorite. Nothing against Hong Su Zu, but her portrayal feels very cardboard cutout-ish, and the dialogue delivery is just so lackluster.

So yeah she is not the problematic one here
