What in the Glory plot twist is Yeonjin and Yeojung dating!! But congrats to them though💕 And now I know why I never felt the chemistry between Yeojung and Dongeun. LMAO
They not even together yet and y’all reaching for an intimacy like ?
They are high school students in this drama, and just imagine wanting to watch high school students sleep together (even if the actors are older). The whole scenario they want is just so creepy and weird.
*slow clap* I've been getting increasingly uncomfortable with the way some fans demand physical intimacy. We don't…
No, honestly I think the whole demand for SA disguised as consensual and enjoyable sex in BLs (both live action and manga and manhwas) comes from this disgusting fantasy of certain fans that gay characters should always be hyper sexual, making out and sleeping around all the time. They also have this weird fetish, that the bottom doesn't know what they want, so a NO, is actually a YES has started the cascading effect of toxic BLs becoming super popular as the standard that defines the epitome of love. And it is absolutely nauseating and disgusting.
*slow clap* I've been getting increasingly uncomfortable with the way some fans demand physical intimacy. We don't…
Agreed totally. Like Crash Landing On You, Goblin, Fight For My Way, The Red Sleeve and so many others are straight K-dramas, have very few scenes of skinship and kisses, and yet they are absolutely wonderful and super popular. Then why do we have double standards when it comes to BLs?? That BLs with no kiss or sex scene is just not representative of gay love or boys in love. Also, why are people here irrespective of sexual orientation claiming that a particular kind of love is the only kind there is?!! And I'm not being puritanical, plots that require sexual intimacy should absolutely show them, regardless of whether straight, BL, GL or any other genre. However, THE PLOT should be the focus, not the sex scene. And as you said, mindless smut series' are fine at times, but the rapid increase in the no. of them in BLs is just so weird. Like there is no plot, no story, and no development between characters but they are suddenly fiercely attracted and are making out all the time and rolling over each other with no story or character development or progress of the plot!!! And fans seem to be loving these bizarre scenarios, wanting them more and more. Also if you look deeper into it, Sexual Assault is treated so casually, so banally in BLs. And these crazy fans clamoring for sex scenes, seem to think that's foreplay or it's what the partner wanted even if they didn't consent to it. I'm shocked to see how these people think that's normal or normalize literal assault as the quintessential gay experience. The continuous claiming, saying it's homophobic to not do a sex scene in BLs is mindboggling to me. Are these fantasies to see gay characters as sex-crazed machines, to whom expression of love is mandatorily sex??!! I thought we were progressing ahead in 2023 asking, inviting, and accepting that all experiences regardless of whether platonic or erotic or sexual are valid. Personally, I know so many queer men who do not prefer anal penetration, so does that make them homophobic too?? Where are these classifications coming from?? I swear these people in the comment section are just crazy and frankly disgusting.
Now I understand why BLs get a bad rap, as just people's fantasies and nothing remotely close to queer experiences in real life, and why a whole of segment LGBTQ+ community doesn't like BLs; cause look at the comments asking for sexual scenes without considering the story, the characters, their struggles, their motivations. Like seriously, if you guys are that horny, go watch porn for fucks sake. A shitty story/series with hot scenes gets a high score here, while a genuinely good well produced, well-acted, well-directed plot or drama gets lower rankings. I don't wanna preach, but I actually do. For once watch a drama for the plot, for the nuances, for the characters, for the direction, for the scriptwriting. A beautiful story is a beautiful story, regardless of sexual content, and honestly, LOVE CAN BE PLATONIC AND ASEXUAL AND SO MUCH MORE THAN FRENCH KISSES AND BLOW JOBS AND BEING PUSHED AGAINST A WALL WITH A TONGUE SHOVED DOWN THE THROAT. Also just to add, it's because of these people(or weirdos, as I should rightly call them out) fanservice has become so popular and prevalent and morphed into such a terrible thing taking a toll on mental health of actors.
Some particular commenters here are damn trash-mouthed . It's like someone's paying them to write down those craps…
I'm keeping a tab on what we have been calling them so far, I mean I'm blocked by him so he can't see my list... but I still wanna make an inventory: So far we've got "psychopathic toddler", "completely nuts" and "aliens" although I personally call him "my darling" (which seems to irk him the most). Anyhoo keep em' coming!
Haha I finally blocked him yesterday. But I should have done it a long time ago 😅
Definitely block someone, if they attack you. Thats totally uncalled for, and awful. I'm so sorry you had to face that. I hope you're better now! 💕I haven't interacted with Maggi64 so I don't how he/she is, but if they are bothering and attacking you, definitely block them. Funnily though, in my case, I didn't block Snowregret, he blocked me🤣🤣🤣. That's what cracks me up!!
I've wondered if he's the same guy who has had multiple accounts on here spewing personal insults at the people…
It's highly possible, because everybody seems to have had a very similar experience with him. He like, keeps commenting nastily in the BL drama comment sections here on MDL, like condescendingly, but still keeps watching them, even though it appears he hates BLs in general! And then he goes to other people's comments and then starts ranting randomly... I've no idea what's his problem🤷🏼♀️
Not related to ASTCO but snowregret blocked me, when I was just replying! I don't know whether to laugh or cry... And last thing he said was my "style" was spastic drivel🤣 And here I thought he liked my style!!!

Grow up people, like seriously grow up.
