Sure the fl is cute, but I find this whole scene weird. lol
…and have we not established that in the previous episodes? We needed to have a drunk scene with them sitting by a tree on a moonlight night, her falling on him, him holding her and her saying “I want to be with you forever…” with the romantic soundtrack playing in the background? Now that we have seen this personal evolution, let’s move the story along.
Don’t get me wrong, I am enjoying this drama A LOT and I think the leads have great chemistry but I am ready for the next phase in their relationship. They are so many things that happens in the novel, and I am afraid they will rush things and the transition won’t be as smooth. BUT, I will try to trust the process.

Right on! The story between the sml and the fl was a bit more convincing in the novel. The novel is quite entertaining but to be honest both the ml and the sml are red flags lol

Because they are giving them these “little moments” when they should be focusing on moving the story along and putting an end to this sibling relationship. I get it, they support, trust and love each other (as siblings, atleast for her), but I don’t need to see her drunk, them sitting by a tree at night, her falling on him, him holding her and her saying “I want to be with you forever”; “In our next lives, we must be siblings again.
We are getting closer to the half point mark with only 21 episodes left to make the transition from her seeing him as a sibling to lover, and based on previews 21-22, the truth has still not yet been revealed.

Thanks for taking the time to comment and explain. While I understand the situation, I still find the whole exchange between them at ep 19 to be weak. They are supposedly intelligent and analytical people and when someone (fl) throw accusations at you, you (sml, who is supposedly very smart) address them and try to make sense as to why she thinks that and explain your side/pov, especially when you have your suspicions that she may well be your mai mai. You don’t just respond to accusations with “impossible”; “she’s alive,” without addressing the elephant in the room!
Also, the fl spent time with the sml and she may have liked him at some point so why would she readily believe the fiancé? wouldn’t she be curious as to his motive for wanting her dead? why believe the fiancé over someone you interacted with and liked? why not take a step back and analyze the situation as the math don’t add up? For instance, why is he looking for his Mei Mei that he tried to kill her? why is he reacting this way today?
I find their whole interaction frustrating and contradictory. I don’t even care about this plotline anymore as a simple talk and them asking the right questions could have clear the misunderstandings. I guess, the writers want to drag this further. I am starting to dislike their interactions more and more.

I was referring to the exchange between the fl and the sml. She told him that he killed his mei mei and all he kept saying was “impossible”…no explanation given, no questions asked as to why she thinks that…they are both smart so I felt that exchange weak
I think I am going to start to skip their “little moments” like at ep 19 when she’s drunk. I find that scene weird and I am over the sibling relationship. They need to move things along
Ep 19: I am so confused…isn’t the fl Mei Mei or is her maid Mei Mei? Why is she saying to the marquis that he killed her maid, and he keeps replying « impossible »? Why doesn’t he explain himself or even ask her why she thinks he killed her? The whole exchange was bizarre …did I miss something??

Till now,the obsessive 2nd ml's only concern is" what is her identity"..how is she,how she has been living all…
Wait, he actually watched her fall? I am very confused. I thought she has imagine it as we do not yet know what truly happened …I may hav miss something
The truth of the fl’s birth was revealed fairly early in the novel in order to move the story along, even if the novel was moving at a slower pace they knew they needed to put an end to that sibling relationship. Why drag it in the drama? The fl still does not know based on preview 22 of 40 episodes. That leaves us with only 18 episodes for the truth to be revealed. I feel that a lot of the events in the novel - which are part of their relationship transition - will not take place. I hope they won’t do a 180 turn on us and turn the relationship around immediately when the truth is revealed. I can understand the ml’s feelings because he knows the truth but the fl truly sees him as a her third gege. Looking forward to seeing how they will make it work
