Something about my K-/J-/C-/T-Drama/Movie experience

I started with asian dramas and movies approximately 10 moths ago (September 2012). The first asian movie I watched was Seducing Mr. Perfect. I fall for the light and innocent humor there and the story was refreshing compared to western mainstream, so I began my search for another kind-of-refreshing asian movies. My second choice was My Tutor Friend. Actually I have been a great fan of anime since my elementary school times, so the culturar aspect wasn´t problem for me at all. After seeing He was cool I began to focus my interest in particular on high school themed movies and dramas. I am not wholy sure, but I think the first drama I have ever watched was Boys before flowers. It wasn´t, in my humble opinion, so good as I expected (have longed for something more funny), but still wasn´t that bad I would drop my discovery..Unstoppable High Kick opened me the door to korean sitcoms and 49 Days the door to melodramas. What I dislike about some asian dramas is overdoing, especially when the cutness begins to lose its charm and to be appalling (...like in Itazura na Kiss). What does I like about asian dramas/movies? Difficult to say...innocence, longing for pure love, overcoming obstacles despite of, at the first sight, invincible problems and the movie quality (plot, technical aspects, etc.), k-pop and j-pop (more inovative than western music..in my humble opinion) and maybe the different culture.
