I’m happy that mdl decided to add this to their database. While I understand their position, there’s too many exceptions on here for them not to add Pachinko, just saying. I actually found another just today. The Last Emperor, an Italy/UK production told in English, Mandarin, and Japanese.
I think this drama was a great palate cleanser. It didn’t reinvent the wheel obviously, but it was able to give us the usual cliches in a more refreshing way.
I saw Her Love Boils Bathwater a few years ago and really loved it. Japan has some really nice films. One of my favorite countries to discover movies from.
Nobody knows - every week they add additional episodes! It was supposed to run to episode 10, then last week it…
GMMTV sometimes doesn’t announce the number of eps their shows will have. Mdl needs a number for the countdown clock will work so they usually put 10 to start. This series will probably end at 16.
I'm going to miss this drama so much T_T Like others said below, Saturdays will be empty now.
As for the future of this series, I hope there's no season 2. I saw people on ig asking for this, but honestly what's there left to cover? If something else were to be made, I would suggest a Kavin x Kaning special. I think we can mostly agree their ending wasn't that satisfactory. My other suggestion would be to adapt Hana Nochi Hare (the sequel to the manga that also has a J-drama). It would be a new generation of characters (less toxic btw), but with cameos from the old characters.
Amnesia confirmed https://www.tv-asahi.co.jp/ch/recommend/f4_thailand/. I'm surprised GMMTV lets TV Asahi spoil so much of the plot lol. Anyway, not looking forward to that part so much. But I'm sure F4 Thailand will give a satisfying conclusion. Also excited for the last part of MJ's story.
I hate how vague they were about what happened to Iris in that house? Was she assaulted or just locked up? They should’ve made it more clear cause they’re just making it harder to sympathize with her.
Like a normal s*xual assault victim might act out like this. But if she’s not, she just sounds bratty and privileged. She said I’m going to be a prostitute just because she doesn’t like the food Wech gives her. He really does a lot for her, but she doesn’t appreciate it.
And I hated how she treated Non and Grandma Chor after they saved her. How she treats Non in general is just terrible. He’s her twin that has always looked out for her, but she lumps him in with the others who don’t care about her.
In short, Iris is one of those people that you should feel sorry for but their actions and reactions make it hard to.
