I'm at ep5 and with every version I think Boys Over Flowers should be set in university. I think that would make…
I feel that college kids wouldn't really care enough to do all of this bullying, especially to the extent that we see in this version. When you're older, the high school politics seem petty lol. And the school doesn't care what the F4 does because their families give them so much money. This works for any type of school I guess.
Also, I don't think that they're implying that Thyme will immediately become a CEO upon graduation. It's more like high school is his time to be free and then when he graduates he will have to start preparing to take over when he's older.
Tbh I’m really picky about the second lead couple. In the manga, it’s sweet and a bit heartbreaking. There’s a connection there but it’s not romantic.
*Taiwan version does the storyline the best in my opinion . I can tell that the tried to be faithful to the manga, showing all the nuances of their relationship. *Japanese version kind of butchers it :/ Yuki comes off more as having an obsessive crush and it’s played for laughs. *I haven’t finished Korean version yet, but Ga-eul is more likable than the Japanese version. I can tell the story greatly diverges from the manga from what others have said. *In the Chinese version, I didn’t find them ending up together realistic. Ironically they followed the manga too much so Xi Men doesn’t really seem that into Xiao You imo. *Finally, Thai version. For some reason, right now I’m feeling that I wouldn’t mind Kavin and Kaning end up together. They seem to just click. And I can believe that Kavin will fall for this girl. I’m so curiously about how their relationship plays out.
It should and man GMM25 has to level up their marketing. They seldom post on IG these days. They seem to be relying…
Agree. They only post twice before the ep airs and then the day of. These posts would be easy to miss if you don't follow GMMTV closely. F4 Thailand is definitely more popular internationally so far. I hardly see any Thai people talking about it on social media.
I just mean compared to big channels like Channel 7 or 3. These channels ratings regularly surpass 2.0+, while a small youth-oriented channel like GMM 25 rarely goes pass 1.0.
F4 Thailand ratings so far: 1) 0.276% 2) 0.404% 3) 0.4% 4) 0.5% 5) 0.431% 6) 0.494% *I couldn't find episodes 3 and 4 with the full rating :/ From what I've learned about Thai television these ratings are pretty good, especially for a smaller channel like GMM 25. I'm hoping the ratings rise to 0.6 or 0.7 tho.
I'm wondering if Mira is really dating that guy tho. In the manga, the same thing happens but Shizuka later tells…
At least to me, Ren did realize that he wasn’t compatible with Mira’s life. He’s the one that said ‘love wasn’t enough.’ He realized how useless he was just waiting for Mira to come home and never doing anything else. The other guy was just an excuse to finally leave.
With how 'woke' and 'feminist' f4: thailand was going, I REALLY hoped the reason why Mira and Ren break up in…
I'm wondering if Mira is really dating that guy tho. In the manga, the same thing happens but Shizuka later tells Rui that it was just rumors. But, who knows, this version has already changed a lot of the little details.
Here is a quote from MJ´s character in the manga (its pretty darn deep) :"I'm like the crescent moon that hides…
The quote is from a short story the author did about him after the story ended. It's kinda sad because he realizes someone like Tsukushi (FL) would be good for him, but he doesn't make a move because of how much he cares about his friends (the story is set when the Tsukushi isn't dating Tsukasa btw).
Since no one talked about the mom, I like the powerful aura and I was triggered at the tulip she holds. But there…
Cindy is my favorite version of the character so far. All of the extra scenes they've given her are so perfect, making us understand her character better. The other versions the mom just comes off as evil until the very end when there's one or two scenes where she's nice.
A few thoughts after watching ep 6:- Ren's return wasn't as annoying as I expected, and I actually feel pretty…
I think Tesla pretended to be a good guy the whole time he was with Kaning. He showed his true self because he was bored of Kaning at this point. I think this was probably more obvious in the manga tho. And someone can be level-headed, but still immature in love, especially if you're 16 and it's your first relationship.
I'm enjoying this but I do feel like Win Metawin isn't getting much air time, up to episode 6 and apart from a…
Win will have his own arc later on. So he'll get a lot more time than MJ lol. I think they made Win Kavin instead of Ren, so he and Bright wouldn't be love rivals after just playing love interests. Personally, I think Kavin is better role since his character is more complex.
There's a personalised clock/timer under the details that shows you the exact time the episode airs wherever you're…
Honestly, you'd be surprised by how many people don't pay attention to the time clock or other things at top. They just go straight to the comments to ask instead of looking for themselves.
I agree on how San’s ending feels rushed, though I dunno where else they’re gonna find the time to let it…
Maybe they could’ve shaved off a minute from Jaya’s performance. They played that song many times anyway lol. What you’re saying was what I expected. San changing back and running to Prim. The moment was less impactful because they only showed them for two seconds together :/
Also, I don't think that they're implying that Thyme will immediately become a CEO upon graduation. It's more like high school is his time to be free and then when he graduates he will have to start preparing to take over when he's older.
