Nicely said. There's no "love more". Love is just expressed in different ways. Thyme's and Gorya's feelings are equal for each other, but Thyme is showing more effort right now.

F4 Thai - Ep 9 improvements from the original manga:
*More focus on Gorya-Lita friendship. I really like seeing this friendship come together in this version. Previously, the fiancée mostly gets to know FL because of her interest in ML and then there's the whole misunderstanding about FL claiming there's nothing between her and ML. Thankfully, F4 Thai left this part out so the first half of the fiancée arc is less painful (next ep tho T_T).
*Lita develops feelings for Thyme more naturally. It was fun watching them bicker for most of the episode, instead of her being all lovey-dovey already like a crazy person.
*Thyme-Glakao friendship. J-drama (and K-drama maybe? Don't remember) show ML befriending little brother to a small extent, but Thyme really went the whole nine yards. I was crying at the end T_T
*Kavin-Kaning. While a lot of people want to see these two together at the end, I've been on the fence. I need the story to prove their relationship so it's more believable than MG2018 version. I liked Kavin and Kaning's interactions in this episode as it shows them gradually developing a friendship.
*1% motif. Of course, the class differences are always there. But by showing a piece of 1% in this episode, we can see the stark contrast against Gorya's world. Also showing the F3's families, most of whom are usually only briefly mentioned.
*Bonus: that small part with MJ. Please tell me we're getting more of that!

Like another comment said, Gorya stepping into Thyme’s world is always going to be harder. Thyme was easily accepted by her family and also easily bought a whole ass house. Thyme’s mother is obviously not welcoming to Gorya. She has to prove herself to be ‘worthy’ of Thyme’s world on top of her family problems. I don’t blame Gorya for giving up.

Hmmm if your partner's right that would mean Talay is based on a different "rival" character from the manga. Personally, I'm thinking Talay is a mix of this character and the one everyone else is thinking about.

I've always liked the fiancee character, but I don't think the dramas. Taiwanese and Chinese versions were the best at showing her being supportive of the main couple as she's only engaged to ML for a couple episodes. But the other versions show her hanging on to ML for too long, which makes her seem like a bad friend lol. Anyway, I think people like her because she's not the typical rival seen in dramas.

Totally agree with you! I think Nani is just getting more attention because he's sooo good-looking and they're playing up the bad boy image. Anyway, MJ's character in the manga and all the different versions has always been my favorite so maybe I'm biased xD

Yeah, it's unofficial but they claimed it was a remake at first. Guess I should've known it was going to be bad as soon as they switched to "inspired by" lol. They could never make a real American version. Like you said, they would try to make it like Euphoria and then stretch out the story for too long so it'd last multiple seasons. American TV can't be trusted with some storylines.

The trailer left me confused about Grace's character. Is she trans? Also lots of insensitive jokes. I think this show will prob offend a lot of people. Anyway, I'm watching for Luke.

Thyme’s mom seems the closest adaptation to the manga. That women was never kind lol. She only has a short moment of humanity, when you realize that she’s also a mother who cares for her child. F4 Thai will probably go for something similar.

Ugh I hope they don’t drag it out that long. I always like the fiancée character, but the dramas drag her character arc out too long. I like her better in the manga when she becomes a supporter of the FL and ML.

I’ll never understand shipping people in real life. I think anyone doing this doesn’t really care about the actor. They only care about seeing their fantasies come to life. Ship characters, not people!

Unfortunately there is a American version called Boys Before Friends. It was terrible lol.

Agree about An Eye for an Eye and Irresistible. Both series started good but had lackluster endings. I also think the same of Nabi. I haven’t finished The Player yet, so we’ll see..

Shouldn't this series be separated into seasons like other multi-season shows on here, and also for simplicity?

High school students are more subject to peer pressure. I just feel that college students have more to worry about since they're becoming adults. At that age, you also don't care about what others think. Whereas high school students have plenty of time to think about all of the petty/useless things we cared about back then lol.

Anyway, this could also be a cultural thing. I just read an article that said bullying in Thailand is a huge problem (similar to Japan). I'm guessing that students feel a lot of pressure from school and getting into a good college. Like Thyme said in the 1st ep, they want a "release" which they get from hurting others.

I think you make a fair point. That scene was really scary and intense. Tbh I'm not really sure whether the scene should've been included or not. I'm on the fence.

Anyway, I love that you mentioned Hana Nochi Hare. Anyone dislikes the problematic parts of Hana Yori Dango should definitely check it out. In some ways I prefer it to HYD.

I don't really think Ren is the un-problematic choice tbh. In terms of behavior, he's just the least worst of the F4.
