The series is almost over and I still don't know what the deal is with the "golden blood".
In a BTS video, Gun explains that it is a rare blood type. It was cute because Boat was impressed that Gun knew about this. After watching this, I found out there is an Rh Null blood type that is so rare that it is called golden blood. Sun also shares this blood type with Sky, that's why he has to bank his blood for Sky.
The write yourself a poem pick-up strategy was one of the lamest I've ever seen.I like when stories of gay life…
I also loved Big Eden because one of the leads is a native person and indigenous people are rarely represented in LGBT media. The older generations did not think they were prejudiced because of having the one co-worker, etc. Even with all of the obnoxious product placements, I like this series because it shows a rural lifestyle with gay people in it. I'm just glad that an Ode to Billy Joe ending is no longer required for gay people living in rural areas.
Could you spot the racist soap product placement? It was subtle, but if you were paying close attention you'd…

I like when stories of gay life in rural areas are like this. I loved Big Eden and ever since then, I hope that communities could be like that. Shiba and Koji, Japanese husbands who post on YouTube moved to the country and now they have a baby boy. Hopefully things will change by the time the baby goes to school.
I wish they had cut out the ex flash backs and inserted the guys having a meal with Shi Lei's mother, or the office having a party with all of the employees, after decided to become a couple. That last episode spent too much time JYZ running around town. That talent was wasted on a weak climax and resolution.
I like this show, but I think that you provided a well thought opinion. I don't think this was your intent, but…
I understand what you mean that an actor can modulate their voice to fit the role. That's why Elizabeth Holmes from Theranos spoke in an fake deep voice. I guess that I've known soft spoken men like Sun who can scrap. Even short and skinny people. I always say that you should fear small bullies more than large bullies because the small bully can really fight. I grew up with rough boys who turned into rough men (as in prison) and they are from gentle and soft spoken to loud and arrogant. What I misunderstood about your statement was is that you were addressing his voice in reference to acting in this role, not in reference to toughness in real life.
UNPOPULAR OPINION: I am a little disappointed with the storyline of the show.Golden Blood is not compelling to…
I like this show, but I think that you provided a well thought opinion. I don't think this was your intent, but equating Boat's voice with "toughness" is a stereotypical assessment of masculinity. Having a high voice has been a source of bullying for males and assumptions of a person's sexuality. I love that Boat is a soft-spoken and polite young man. In my opinion, he must be pretty tough if he can still pursue these types of acting roles, knowing that he doesn't have the deep voice that is "expected" of a man who is good at fighting. Just my thoughts.
I was mad at first, but after I thought about it, Best confessed and Dew responded. I'm a mother and I was so…
I deleted the comment because I didn't want to be so sappy, but there are people who love and support you. I watch Shiba and Koji on YouTube and get so happy when they are so affectionate toward their son. Asian dads being openly affectionate is another barrier that is slowing coming down.
I loved it, but definitely would have preferred a happy ending. I believe it was an open ending so I'm not upset…
I was mad at first, but after I thought about it, Best confessed and Dew responded. I'm a mother and I was so upset that another mother would hurt her child so badly out of her own homophobia. I would have told Fern to mind her own business.
While I acknowledge that the main couple are only together in about 3 minutes of each episode, and I'm in the minority, but I like the scenes between oyaji Nut and Satha so much that I'm willing to fast forward through useless scenes, such as the teachers scene. Nut sees Satha in the same category as his ex Ball, so he doesn't want to even be friends. I wonder how Satha will get him to change his mind. I enjoy watching the girls because their friendships and how they interact. Brings back memories.
I'm just gonna jump on here to kind of "defend" @rolandgalicio's comment. I get what you mean by saying real life…
I understand your point, which is true too. I wanted to encourage OP because I took OP's comment literally since there are places in the world where homosexuality is a criminal act, and in others while not illegal, it is socially unacceptable. Some people are terrified of losing their family and community, so they will marry the opposite sex, but others find a way. I watched A Secret Love about a lesbian couple from Canada who got together when being gay was heavily sanctioned. They were not out to their families, but had a 70 year relationship and loving friends. It wasn't perfect, but at least they were able to build a life together.
I hate sad endings especially in BL series. Real life gay love stories are tragic as it is, why extend it in media?…
Not being sarcastic, but I'm sad that you live in a place where gay tragedy is normal. However, even in extremely homophobic places, gay people can be together. Many couples say, they may have to be "best friends" until they graduate university and are financially stable, but they still make it work.

Series - Kinou Nani Tabeta. Not at BL but a slice of life series about a gay couple and food.
