I enjoyed this until the very abrupt ending. I have no problem with sad endings. I love to cry. It just kind of…
My issue was with the multi-generational homophobia. That's why I'm hoping there's a part 2 for Dew's story so that it can be either put to rest amicably (no promises since they will be far away) or Best changes schools.

Another great episode where both have to confront their collision course between fantasy and reality. Reb's idealistic view of what true love means, and JM's cynical view of the meaning of love after having loved and lost. Hopefully they will be able to meet in the middle and realize that love has great moments and terrible moments. Looking forward to the final episode.

It would be nice if we got "The Dew Story" so that the story could be wrapped up. I guess homophobia does win sometimes in real life.

He is really singing that song? I wasn't so sure
It's hard to tell because the drama used a studio version during that scene, but they have posted music videos and he sings well in them. However, I haven't heard him sing live.

I hope that Boat does more BL series in the future. He is a very good actor and singer, and seems to be soft spoken and humble in the BTS clips. Asian M/F dramas are too over the top for me, so I don't think that I will watch his other work, but I have enjoyed this series.

Before y'all start complaining about the slow burn, I hope yall consider first that this is literally an adaptation…
All I'm seeing is hate for the lead and her acting ability. Most of the comments are negative about the series overall. Although I would love to see Dean Fujita act since I love his song History Maker from Yuri!!! On Ice. Am I looking at the right drama?

I agree. I really like the general story and bones, but they obviously don't have enough material in the script.…
Maybe they are an inexperienced team, but I agree about the unnecessary scenes, especially since it doesn't seem like there is a second couple to fill in the gaps. They could even have Satha sing songs to fill in some time since he is supposed to be such a fabulous singer that makes people swoon! My concern is they are going to try to jam all of the conflict and resolution into the last episode. Nut's ex seemed angry that Nut left him, but we haven't seen Ball since episode 01. I'm still sticking with it. Love Sick was rocky when it started and I stuck with that series too.

I like the show. The execution has problems but it's rare to see an oyaji story outside of Japan and I'm loving it. Thankfully, Nut and Satha were in the same room together so they can start to get to know one another. I too think that Alice is beautiful, but Nanon can have her. That guy Ball had better stay away.

Bittersweet. Hopefully JM can put his fear to the side, but we all know people like JM. Their subsequent relationships must pay for the acts of another. The ex's side has not been presented, which is how real life is too. Reb needs an emotionally available partner. Brush it off as a quarantine thing and hold on to his dreams if JM cannot move out of the emotional pothole. The dismantling of the room made me hopeful, the conversation, not so much.

That's what I love about this series, they communicate. It may hurt sometimes, but at least they talk.

It's exactly the way you describe it. It's the way Mafia works who is respected by many poor people because they…
It's true that they can't leave the past behind which is sad and your enemies will still try to hurt you. I think that's why some dramas make certain bosses like Sky's dad redeemable because he doesn't deal in drugs and in Manner of Death where Tan would not deal in human trafficking. The reason I brought up the chicken fights is because people who look down on criminals and organized gangs will attend chicken fights, contributing to what they claim to disdain by betting and making them a family event. Even in Japan, it's hard to leave the past behind if you have irezumi because society knows with once glance about your past.

I noticed that both Jin Yu Zhen and Shi Lei about both waiting for the other to go first. She Lei was about to , but the ex showed up and deflated his confidence, so he spent the rest of the time hiding from JYZ. This episode was all about eyes and body language between the two of them. When JYZ walks out of the office with the X and just stares at Shi Lei, I hurt for them. Si Qi is the most straightforward, even though he is the youngest. My favorite scene is when he wouldn't let Yan Shao Gang off the hook regarding the marriage question, and when he called Gang by his first name. Now that I don't see the X as a threat and just a red herring, I'm hoping that the stubborn guys both let their guards down and have an honest conversation next episode.

There seems to be controversy about Sky's father being a gang boss. The truth is, especially in impoverished, areas, the people who live there do not always see these men as bad. Some of the provide jobs and give money to their communities. I'm not saying that I condone gangs or crime, but some "normies" support them too. All over the world, people like to watch chicken fights and gamble, who do they think runs them? For impoverished, orphaned males, gangs have given them a sense of family. That's how Sun found a family and brotherhood. Sky's father is being shown as a gray boss, trying to do mostly legitimate business and has boundaries when it comes to drugs. That's why he is seen as a good-ish gang leader, in contrast to his enemy. Just my opinion.

I'm still with this, but our guys can't fall in love if they are never together. People who keep complaining about wanting realism, you're getting it now. A person's day is mostly like this episode. I think the eyebrow shaming is eyebrowism toward thick eyebrow enthusiasts. Frida Kahlo, one of the world's most talented painters ever had a unibrow and it was prominently displayed in her many self portraits. Many men in real life do not groom their eyebrows, and do not desire to look like a K-Pop star, another reality. Very reality-based episode.

Don’t you hate it when you make a super awkward rule that everybody is breaking behind your back and you find…
LOL. With some characters, their pride is more important than admitting that maybe the rule is stupid after all. I'm not sure about Taiwan, but that rule would be illegal almost anywhere in the world, but we wouldn't have this show if the workers went to the labor department.

In the minority, but I didn't find the episode cringy at all, but that doesn't mean that I thought it was deep either. Just lighthearted courting on Sky's part. I felt that Sky was trying to be nice to Sun after hearing about the orphanage upbringing, and for having save his life so many times. Even though Sun's interest from Toktang to Sun made my head swivel 180 degrees, I'm just along for the ride before the ultimate come down of Sun having to reject Sky due to honor, position and moral code of the group, requiring Sun to protect Sky, but not to fall in love with him. I love Gun in this role and now I'm a fan of Boat. Looking forward to next week.

What I appreciate most about this series is that the writers, actors, and director assume that the audience is smart enough to follow along. In Episode 5, both characters made revelations, giving some insight to who they are. Most of this series has been dialogues with very few supporting characters, relying on the leads to create conflict and resolution. The drunken/hangover scene was well done. Women will often go in the bathroom and rub their friend's back or hold her hair, but I guess men are different. JM's barriers are breaking down and probably as they get closer to the quarantine ending, he will be scrambling to re-erect them. My main complaint is that I wish shows would subtitle the lyrics because I would like to know how the song relates in that moment.

I agree with all the points you make - though I cannot say I thought it was a "beautiful episode". But a lot of…
You have such a thoughtful response. I was shocked by some of the comments concerning Episode 3 because after the lunch scene, I was riveted to the screen. I'm not Thai but have visited Thailand, and I found that Thais will tell you things between the lines if you will listen. Hetero dramas do not address these types of issues unless it's a setup for the MC to be an advocate for self-aggrandizement. I can't think of any main characters who used to beg in the streets.

I was not brought up Christian, and I'm not a Christian. was brought up in a church that is not sin based and I have asked ministers if there are any Scriptures against LGBT and was told no. I think that Buddhism is the same way. That's why all are welcomed, even foreigners who just want to look around, as long as we behave. I can't wait to go back to Thailand. A former monk was a tour guide of mine and he told me many things about how to act. One of the temples I visited with him had boys living there so that they can get an education. They do not have a similar setup for girls though.

I hope the rest of the series continues the meaningful stories. The 3rd couple being a boy from the streets with a guy born with a silver spoon will be interesting.

Lots of people "cheat" in the countryside too. :)
Ha ha true that, along with chicken fights, the syndicate, etc. I was taking a little bit of a jab at the "masterpiece" (a show that I like don't get me wrong) where people on the boards were ripping each other instead of just staying on topic.

Tend to agree with the ex…it was just sex. A fling with someone he barely knew and wouldn’t see again.much…
Ball met the goal having as many random hookups as he wants, and not having to deal with the gays in this series when Nut left him. Ball realizing that Nut left him was once of the best comedic moments in Ep 1.
