Was Singha some deity in his past life?? Who is Yak? (don't tell me I'm just theorizing)
A Yaksha is a guardian that protects temples and such. Sing wasn't a deity, he has a tattoo that offers general protection and his mother worships Thao Wessuwan, she gave the statue to Sing so this deity will protect him and his home. Change2561 has a video (Side Story ep2) on their youtube channel that explains about Thao Wessuwan.
That's cause thup only started seeing ghosts after the monk who protected him died a few months ago
It's also been stated that most ghosts are harmless. Thup explained very clearly that wandering ghosts just want merits, they're not malicious. Only the ghosts related to the ritual are harmful.
I love those but instead of doing them separately it would be nice if we could just get them at the end of the…
Well, that would interfere with the shows runtime though lol. Those vids are usually around 10 minutes. They'd have to cut out ten minutes of content to include them at the end of the episodes. The episodes already feel too short imo, I'd hate for them to be shorter.
Okay, but is anybody else watching the side stories posted on YouTube? Cause those are super cool. I never had any knowledge about Thai religion and superstitions until watching those. I love that Change is really putting in the effort to educate us international fans. Like seeing things in the show is one thing, but then actually getting a breakdown about where this belief came from or what it means really makes me want to rewatch the show with this new knowledge in mind.
that a spoiler, I don't want to know please trun on spoiler
@Cree Gal Why don't you repost your comment about Darin as a spoiler because that actually is one. I wrote something that happened in the book and likely won't be put on screen. You shouted that Darin is Wednesday and acted confused why nobody was talking about that. Nobody is talking about it because it's a major plot event and nobody wants to spoil the plot for those who haven't read the book.
But they don't follow the novel that much. I love the novel, but it looks like the series follows the novel lightly.…
@Bo77 Honestly, they probs won't keep this scene in unfortunately. It's technically already happened in the show. We've already seen Sing fight King in the flashback and King has already tried to flirt/win Sing back. It's more likely they'll replace this scene with an intimate scene between Thup and Sing. Which is also something to look forward to. But I also wouldn't mind seeing Sing punch King again cause he defs deserves it lol.
please repost this with the spoiler tag so that people don't get unwanted spoilers ππ
It's not a spoiler though. This might not even happen in the show tbh. Book spoilers β show spoilers. Also it's not even plot related, it's just a funny thing that happened. It was the comic relief right before climax of the novel.
The way he said "Thup" so softly. And I never would have bet that Thup will be the more aggressive one,…
Lol, Thup is like this at the end of the book too. Throughout the first part Sing refers to him as a puppy (you'll notice in the show they added a puppy whining sound effect in reference to this), but at the end when they have intimate scenes Sing refers to him as a wolf instead.
I just want everyone who hasn't read the novel to know: there's a scene where King tries to have sex with Sing and Sing rightly beats the fuck out of him. And then Sing goes home and has dinner with Thup. :) If they keep this scene in the show I'd say it'll probably happen around ep8 or 9. So we all have that to look forward to.
JoongDunk's reaction to the trailer -> https://youtu.be/E1byg9Lb-Xo?si=Ld7YDtq8_cTFQo7o Even Joong and Dunk…
Yes, I was very relieved when they said this. I love romcoms, but when I'm expecting a serious drama and suddenly there's just silly jokes thrown in it feels a bit out of place. It was one of the things I found disappointing in The Heart Killers. Trying to balance two different genres kinda led to the ending falling flat imo. I have high hopes for DYTD though, especially since there will be such a large cast of talented actors.
