I agree. Their character and relationship development was nowhere near the level of the main couple’s. They should have either written them better or not paired them up at all.

Again with the hate toward female characters in BLs 🙄

Most of the time, she calls him "brother." She's not the one calling him "Jinx". She only mentions it to explain why others call him that. Meanwhile, the ML has called him "Jinx" multiple times himself, even after they became friends. So why hate her and not him?

As for the acting course, Xu Yuan was the one who chose to help her pursue her dream. She didn't even know about it at first. That was entirely his decision. As an older sibling myself, I can understand why he did it.

And not everything falls on Xu Yuan's shoulders. Their mother does her part too.

As for the sister, it's also pretty clear that she loves her brother. She's genuinely happy to see him slowly change and become happier thanks to the ML.

I think it is 19 because when he first appeared, teacher told him he repeated his year twice, so he can't be 15 if the other students are around 16.

I love that the FL didn’t forgive him so easily. It’s rare in dramas. Usually, the person who was hurt (whether in BL or straight romance) forgives almost immediately “in the name of love” 😒 So honestly, I love seeing the ML suffer a bit -a lot- before being forgiven 😈

That said, I’m not a fan of the “better and kinder” 2nd ML trope. If the FL/MC is going to end up with the ML anyway, I’d rather they focus on giving the ML proper character development instead of introducing a perfect 2nd lead just to make him look worse.

Especially since, most of the time, the 2nd ML isn’t actually that selfless if you look closely. He’s usually doing everything he can to make the FL/MC see him as the “better choice,” but his actions are still driven by the hope that they’ll eventually choose him romantically.

I loved the first episode. The quality is so good. I can't wait for the next episode.

Agree. I couldn't even feel the "love" he has for Jeong Wu. Though, the last episode saved that character for me. He was less annoying.
At least, the kisses were good here, not the usual dead fish.
