Not satisfied with how they ended the 4th Prince’s story. He got off quite easily.
Yeah. It was a bit too simple for me. His dad saw right through him and then told him to reflect on his morals. He literally had intentions to have his brother dead! And his punishment was to…be confined…to his room? Odd to me.
He wasn't yet, that's why he was so threatened by YZ.
Wasn’t YZ only suppose to govern while his dad was away on the mission? How did this temporary governance change to transitioning him into crown prince status?
Love their couple outfits - they look so cute together, especially YZ and his ponytail. Lee Wei is always adorable…
I think I noticed half way through but YZ’s costumes are an absolute sight to behold. Usually I just focus on the girls bc it’s more colorful but it might be because all the girls in this drama have colorful costumes that I’m just whatever about them? But man YZ’s attire… sometimes it’s robe-like with the crisscross in the front, but sometimes it’s just gown-like. And the colors are designs are always bright and powerful. He’s just absolutely regal in whatever he wears. I can usually remember the few outfits the male lead wears but I think this guy has 20 outfits that slowly get introduced throughout the show. Ugh *chefs kiss*
The comedy never stops 🤣🤣🤣. 4th prince and wife were taken care of (he was read to filth by YZ and An;…
I love it when the butler seemingly runs his mouth and YZ tells him to stop but once LW turns away, he gives his butler a thumbs up. Def replayed that scene!
You guys are all awesome thanks so much! I will at least try a couple of episodes
I tried Mr queen when it came out. For some reason I dropped it. But I went back just now to check its rating and it’s a 9 on mdl!! Now I’m considering trying again.
I don't even know why everyone hated our dear crown princess 😭. I love her soooooooo much ❤
I love her. I LOVE HER. She brightened up the screen for me every time she was in a scene. She’s such a happy go lucky character. She’s a simple woman who just loves her man. So cute. I really do hope they pair these two actors up again. I’d sure appreciate it.
I saw some comments that said the crown princess is dumb and annoying?! I am on eps 2
Aw I don’t think so. I think the word might be unconventional. I said what I said bc I like their chemistry together. If others think she came off “dumb and annoying” it might be because she portrayed her character well and that’s kudos to her acting as an actress!
I commented on another post earlier that consort Hwang and her son would theoretically be killed once their secret…
Right?! QD’s end was way too mediocre. After all the evil vicious vengeful deeds she did and how she manipulated others to do her dirty work, she got to die peacefully in the comfort of her own room and on her own terms?! When she revealed why she kept one son of Queen Yoon’s alive in order to instill perpetual fear, it made me convinced that she should suffer the same twisted agony in the end.
This is probably one of the more original endings I`ve seen of a historical drama, befitting of it.The ending…
I commented on another post earlier that consort Hwang and her son would theoretically be killed once their secret was revealed. There really would be no leniency I think for this level of deception to the kingdom. But I think gosh you’re right that their situation is kinda scary. The scene felt cold and absent of joy. It’s worse than death. Another commenter said consort Hwang has to live with the fact that she was only treated as a mere vessel for offspring production. She was just an object. T_T And the son has to live with the fact that he was never who he thought he was AND he killed his biological father with his own hands. Truly scarifying.
Queen Yoon - reinstated to being a nobleNephew - though not explicitly, SN will handle the CP role until the nephew…
I liked how they did those subtle scenes to show that SN is just holding the position for the grand heir. The hat and him saying it suiting him. I think one of the biggest scenes for me that shows how much SN doesn’t really care to be crown prince is when he told crown princess we don’t have to have children, esp bc of her health. One of the main duties as crown prince IS to produce an heir. For him to say it’s okay if we don’t have one, is like him telling us he doesn’t intend to stay in this position anyway. What a brother. He is fulfilling his duty as a brother, uncle and husband all at once. Love this guy
Same here. I really like how they focused on relationships between mothers and children. I just feel bad for Cohort…
I had a feeling she went crazy but I wasn’t sure. Esp when she mentioned the tutors. Thanks for explaining the tea part and how she didn’t recognize the queen. At first, I thought she was ignoring her. I feel bad for the both of them looking at them living as commoners BUT if we were being historically accurate-ish, no way they would have survived deceiving the king with being impregnated by another man.
I’m a romance/romcom fanatic and I watched this because fans on here highly recommended it. I loved it! The show probably has ~10% romance. Obviously I wish there was more but that’s not what this show is about. I hope you give it a chance like I did!
Was going to skip this bc even though I love sageuks, I’m really just into romance and/or romcoms. But the ratings and comments seem to be excellent! So now I’m intrigued. Can someone tell me what makes this so good without spoiling it? Also, is there really no romance? :(
I wanted to watch this for the ml but seeing so many comments mentioning that he has very less screen time and…
He has relatively little screen time yes and romance between the leads are in short supply but BJT's character is very lovable and swoonworthy - seemingly serious but also silly. If you dont watch this for strictly romance like I did, then you won't be disappointed bc the other side stories are actually very entertaining.
Please go watch it and report back! I’d love to hear your thoughts.
