Title The Blue Whisper: Part 2 Spoiler
The fox king should have died when he battled the Grand Tutor, and the fox clan should have faded into background…
Yeah so not even counting the pearl, Chang Yi is down to 25pct of his power…. Why does he seem to be getting more not less powerful???

Huace is a public company they hold regular investor update webcasts. It is by invitation only - I will join out of curiosity only. Investors won’t want them to release it until all the copyright is in place and they can monetize, they don’t care if it is asap or not, just how much they can make on it. So if market conditions are soft for ads and international platforms only want to pay for it later then they should hold back. To me that is the most plausible reason for the delay.

It’s not a viewer event it is only for investors but they will have to at least explain how they intend to make money from this.

Viu has 8mm subscribers that pay ~$2.50 a month. They cannot pay much to license this or anything. Netflix on the other hand has 220mm subscribers that spend $20/month and can spend ~$30mm per Asian drama on average, which is why Tencent was happy to license TLB to them. But if for example they chose not to buy TBW, there is nothing Croton can do about it except to try other platforms. Anyway Huace has an event on Thursday. Let's see if they say anything about this.

Croton Media gave the following reasons for the non-release of the English sub for international viewers: 1. They…
The subs were never the issue. My 13-year old niece can sub one episode in under 2 hours. It would take me a bit longer bc I suck at timing the subs whereas she is really fast at that. A professional would be faster than either of us. It would be even more laughable if Croton were this late due to subtitles. I believe the real issue is commercial, as in they haven't succeeded in licensing this to enough overseas platforms yet to get the return they want. It is entirely their right to try to make money out of this and of course they are not going to just release it for a low return. Fans are better off lobbying Amazon Prime, Netflix, Viki and Disney Plus hard to license this asap.

Chang Yi seems to have unlimited power - first he cut off his tail, then Yunhe has his pearl and now he gives half his power to Qing Yao to repay her. How is he going to defeat Xian Shi and Shunde? Does this make Qing Yao equal power with him? What if she tries to kill Yunhe again? Can he even defend Yunhe or is Qing Yao now equal to him in power? It’s bad enough they wrote this annoying character in but then they went down all these paths with her that is so poorly thought out that it don’t even make any sense.

Title The Blue Whisper: Part 2 Spoiler
Qing Yao isn't even in the book, they did bad in creating her in the drama, what a cliche.
It’s not even logical that Chang Yi owes them anything. He freed the entire clan including the king from Zhu Ling and they saved him. By my math that makes them even already. Bad writing.

Title The Imperial Age Spoiler
In history, Zhu Biao is well-respected and loved by everyone around him. He must be charismatic and good-hearted.
Heheh how could I forget - we watched that super depressing drama at the same time…
I think the scene was in episode 5 or 6 when Lan Yu returns to the capital he has him spanked while he sipped tea and the women wept and wailed around him.

It says its on viki but when i checked it only says fan page???
If you don't need subs, you can watch it on duboku. Viki is usually region restricted - but can't help with that bc its not available on Viki in my region.

Things finally seem to move forward in Ep 29&30 and we get some answers. But it seems Yunhe is still gonna to lie till her dying day. Which even the butterfly with a very small brain can tell is rather pointless bc it is going to devastate Chang Yi no matter what. And this director needs a firm kick in the butt (or an even more painful place) bc every time we get some momentum build up and things move along, he disrupts it with another boring and annoying sequence of Qing Yao's histrionics.

Yeah, I really like him, esp when he ordered that spanking and laughed all over it. Btw, long time & great to see you here!!!

Title Left Right
Wow I really wanted to watch this but 2 episodes in and I am ready to head for the hills. This woman is bat shit crazy, ignorant and neurotic. I get the insecurity of new motherhood and possible depression and how overwhelming it is but this actor's portrayal is not just not empathetic at all, it is actually alienating. Of course that does not mean I want to see bad stuff happen to her or the child but I am not sure I can stomach watching 34 episodes of such a dislikable character.

Cheng Yi is doing a fantastic job so far as the hungry and curious young Zhu Di who is being shaped by his experiences yet oddly it is Zhu Biao who is actually stealing my heart so far in the show.

I love the Dark Lord eventually, but it took me 4-5 tries to finish the drama....hahaha
Funnily enough, I never finished it. Unlike this, the humour was just too slapstick for me even though I really loved the main characters.

I read the comments and people were saying FL is abusive. I'm on EP 9 and while FL does have a tendency to respond…
It’s violence in comedy, very commonly used. It doesn’t bother me at all I wouldn’t call it abuse.
