The episodes are actually really long... sometimes 2x50+ minutes.

Ep 27: Just when I was about to do cartwheels there was no Miaorong, Zhao Xiao pops up like the bad tart that he is... WTF.... can't they give us a damn break from this two???

That’s really funny bc I think the writing is what is the most atrocious. Who writes characters like this and tries to blame the director? The screenwriter is a one hit wonder who even then wrote a crappy ending that got a lot of hate. The real villain is Miaorong based on just screen time.

This is the first time I think the Douban rating for a drama is super generous. As of tonight, Li Qian’s character gets thrown under the bus so that Miaorong gets to stick around and do more harm. Worse, he looks like a hypocrite for being so harsh on Zhao xiao who,is just stupid and incompetent but he lets Miaorong who is plain greedy and evil off the hook like that? Baoning gets demoted into an airhead and Zhao Xiao gives new meaning to beating a dead horse. This lazy ass writer can’t even be bothered to come up with a real villain. I halved my rating to 3.5. Disgusted.

This show now has to get its act together within the next 6 episodes bc A LOT of dramas are launching and if there is more of the last few weeks nonsense, I am so dropping.

Yeah I saw that too I am just saying Tencent removed the trailer from their Coming Soon list on the WeTV app. It was there yesterday. Now you have to search for it to watch it there.

I think its Yang Mi's voice in the trailer but it doesn't mean the drama itself won't be dubbed. She is one of the busiest actresses she rarely dubs herself it takes so much time and this is 55 episodes... You can hear her real voice in most of her modern dramas and movies which usually aren't dubbed.

No you don’t have to. Novoland is a shared world designed by 7 writers. They each went on to write their own works based on the shared universe.

2019 was the 70th anniversary of the Republic of China. No dramas outside of patriotic dramas were allowed to air for months before, during and after the anniversary. Even this one finished airing before.

It should pop up on either iQiyi or WeTv if not both depending on who got the rights for your region - maybe with a one week delay for subs. I think I may have told you I have LongTV from Malaysia so if all else fails it will be there but not until tomorrow.

Lol tyvm - I actually am probably going to watch People's Property at some point but too much of that genre this year I have had enough. I am planning to watch Chen Kun's new military drama if all else fails...

I literally have nothing on my watchlist for the next 2 nights to watch while I work or I would drop as well. 2 bad episodes out of 12 is enough to tell you all you need to know...

Yeah to my dismay I discovered its the Crimson River director. I will give it two more to see if the awkward acting all around and messy plot threads come together but if it doesn't this is a drop for me. This has been a very disappointing drama year.
