I wanted to smack her she was so loud and screechy until Ep 8. Then she stopped with the screechy and was hilarious. I don't remember laughing so hard in a drama. Esp the scene where she was blithely describing rotten corpses while Lu Yi was trying to eat... omg I almost choked on wine. It wasn't that great of a drama, esp in the boring middle arcs but there were so many rewatch worthy scenes in it.

I think the women in the families were meant to meet at that gathering right where the engagement got broken. Unmarried young ladies that haven't come of age rarely have occasion to socialize but the older ladies from both sides of the family will surely have interacted.
