Well the current Wei Yan/Puppet regime stole Qi Min's father's throne. So Wei Yan/Puppet is NOT on his side and if they knew he exists, they would erase him as a remnant of the former Crown Prince. They are the enemy and "the enemy of his enemy that is his friend" is indeed Prince Changxin. So to me it all makes sense. But of course he also eventually will need to eliminate Prince Changxin.

I had just hoped he'd be a tad smarter as a villain. A drama is only as good as its villains. And so far Wei Xuan is a dud and so is Yuanqing. And Qi Min has a love brain...🤷🏻‍♀️

I have no problem with the separation itself. I have had enough of them eyeballing each other longingly - I don't think its humanly possible to shoot even more scenes of that. What irritates me no end is how his identity is still a secret.🤦🏻‍♀️🤡

Yups, that was me too. It gets a bit better end ep 11 with Qi Min entrance and from about 15 onwards at least the plot moves even though the too long hidden identity makes me roll my eyes.
