This is my forever grudge to ZMN, atleast give them a heir before it all goes down. That baby of theirs would…
What I hear is that they journey on to Nanjue the neighboring enemy country and muck around with palace politics there... I don't understand why this writer keeps insisting he writes wuxias and then goes on to write game of thrones instead.

Yes but that's my point, Taián emperor died for 8 years already. And I think Mingde is equally unlikely to clear Ye family. He continued to demonize YDZ long after he died, into after Wuxin grew up. If he cleared Ye family, then YDZ's attack on Beili was justified. He was not only coming for his wife, he was righting a wrong.

Honestly after this mess I have very low expectations of TBOY2. I think the writer is stuck bc there is no story left to tell.

I forgot about that part but its part of a dream it isn't that clear that BDJ actually killed her. In the DY novel when BDJ meets YQ for the first time he tells YY even though they look similar, he would never mistake them for each other bc their eyes are completely different.

Better be a girl then. We don't need history repeating itself and Wuxin needs a wife.

I wonder why they delete this scene 🤔
Yeah IMO it was the highlight of the novel. Its chapter 322 if you want to read it.

I could be wrong but TBOY only says that YY is dead and BDJ can't forget her. I don't think (but correct me if I am wrong) that it says BDJ accidentally killed her thinking she is YQ. I think that must come from the donghua. And that whole idea is retarded. There is no way on this planet BDJ will try to kill YQ, she is YY's sister! Only a very stupid writer would write it like that. And YQ was not the mastermind behind YDZ's downfall, she was only a tool of Wuxiang and the eunuchs scheming. That entire extra melo tragic explanation for how YY died is one of the dumbest things I have read about this story. I am glad they killed that idea by killing off YQ in the drama but in the novel, she just disappears and is not to be found anywhere.

Well to be fair, many of us here watched TBOY more than once and still get characters and all kinds of details mixed up. They should have hired the same main scriptwriter for both dramas.

I don't think he is a terrible person. He is just not who I thought he was from TBOY.

In the novel, YDZ was already dead when BDJ shows up so there was no such promise in the original works.. This is something that was added in the DY drama much later on and obviously by the scriptwriter who didn't know the original story.

So apparently, they did change the ending 😮‍💨
All the leads endings follow the novel. But the novel ends in the 8th year of Mingde when Wuxin is 5 and Xiao Se should be 9. TBOY takes place 12 years later in the 20th year of Mingde. In those 12 years, YY dies and so does Ruofeng and LMS. Its just not part of the DY novel and its told in flashback in the TBOY storyline.

They sent for LQY - I forget exactly who but it was either BDJ or JRF. There was a conversation that went something like only one person can get YDZ to back down and that is WJ. So they sent for LQY to come get her to talk him down. I believe she could not leave the palace with LQY bc she had a deal with Ruojin to leave WX alone at the temple. That is why she returned to the palace with the eunuchs instead of going off with LQY.

Well maybe its not an entirely bad thing. Their baby may grow up and fight Wuxin over the leadership of TWT.

I think he was too busy trying to write TBOY2. There isn't a novel for that, at least the DY novel was already written.

In this I give her the benefit of the doubt. I think once she went back she was completely cut off and I believe that is how she was in TBOY as well. Even LQY was not powerful enough to help her escape. That's what he spent the next decade doing - power up enough to come and take her away which only happens 12-13 years later. And I am sure she realized if YDZ came for her, he would die.

In both dramas he is on the screenwriting team. But the main screenwriter for DY is different from that of TBOY.

I think the novelist realized the prequel was a train wreck he tells people to think of it as a standalone story.

She was prepared to kill herself. Ruofeng stopped her using YDZ as a threat. Honestly I wish I hadn't read that part. I kind of empathized or at least understood YWJ up to when she decided to leave YDZ for her Xiao Yu. After that I thought she was just plain stupid and more damningly, she didn't trust YDZ.

They filmed and deleted 😑
They probably filmed it bc they wanted to try to include it but it probably didn't get pass review. I wish they included the conversation as well but I guess there may have been no good way to put it in.

Yeah I am not saying he is a terrible person but he definitely made some really bad decisions.
