Yeah in China the police can pretty much detain you until you confess. The fact they let him go says a lot. But its still not a great story and it remains a shadow over him - his dramas are not promoted and its even mentioned in his MDL bio, which is just ridiculous.

I would guess if there is a Part 2 it would have to be a different cast.

Yes Xiu was testing her with the food - he is a very clever character. He is basically telling her she can still choose the right path. He is definitely trying to turn her into a double agent.

Totally - he went serious actor route the whole way. I am just happy he managed to come back from his scandal. iQiyi really bet on him.

No but I can see her do a good Wong Yung. The other girl I noticed is the one who played the fox spirit in TTEOTM. She would make a fantastic Wong Yung.

I really liked his character in Strange Tales but I think his character here is much more complicated and interesting.
Yeah I am not familiar with the donghua but a friend of mine is and she was very excited to hear he was cast in this role.

Yes it’s LOCH but it’s split into chapters and each chapter is made by a different production team.

I like Li Yitong as well but she is a quiet beauty and is miscast as Wong Yung, who is vivacious and slightly evil.
