Sadly a good drama version of Demi Gods has yet to be made. Kiu Feng was very similar to Yeung Hong except he was raised as a Han when he was really Khitan but identified himself as Han. They are both tragic characters.
I never forgave Jin Yong for saddling Wong Yung with Kok Cheng either.

New Jin Yong Martial Series is coming soon… I am both excited and worried…

He was in the 2017 version with Li Yitong as Huang Rong. And agree totally Guo Jing is the least interesting Jin Yong male character - which is why I was shocked he did it so well.

It’s why I didn’t watch Dark S2 - it was too hard work!!!

I suspect her too as the dart thrower. And she keeps popping up where she has no business. Not a great spy she gives herself away too easily….

Well Wong Yung of course is my favorite female character ever. But in LOTCH series I actually loved Yeung Hong and rooted so hard for him to do the right thing. My favorite hero is Kiu Feng. I also had a soft spot for Wai Siu-Bo but he is totally a villain!

Strange Tales is awesome!!! I ended up dropping LOTCH 2017 bc of Li Yiitong but I thought YXW was the best Guo Jing. It’s too bad Huang Rong was MIA.

I didn’t like her from the opening scene. 😅😂

I like YXW ‘s acting a lot and he is in a complex role. But it’s a lot of talking this show.

Yeah it seems like a pretty complicated world and story that got trimmed down a lot to fit 24 episodes. I hear half the footage was omitted. So far they didn't do a bad job but there is a lot of dialogue about the history and characters that are just thrown at you. I half regret feeling too lazy to take notes.

Well it looks like Xiu is on to her... No wonder he always acts like a clown... he knew there was a spy around him.

I never liked Guo Jing I feel that he is Jin Yong's most boring two dimensional hero. I didn't even like Wong Yat-wah in the original 1983 version. That said it is either the easiest role ever or the most difficult. I love Hu Ge to death but he was trying too hard to be dumb and naive and it just made me cringe - he should stick to playing brilliant characters. I think YXW is the only one who pulled it off really well but I think he would have made an even better Yang Kang.

Wow - that kind of looks like Picasso's Line Art Flower... Who would have thought a Zichuan Xiu has so many hidden talents....

Yeah he is a really good actor. He actually did a better Guo Jing than Hu Ge did (don't kill me!)

I really liked his character in Strange Tales but I think his character here is much more complicated and interesting.

I don't think they will try to put it all together. Just tell the important chapters as distinct stories. Because everyone already knows these books.

It all makes sense now... the long winded all talking screenwriter from Three Body...🤦🏻‍♀️

That must be Jin Yong Wuxia Universe. That was done on purpose - they are different teams doing different chapters.
