Ah ok - I forgot the old TVB versions are not subtitled. The latest 2021 version is not that great but it's watchable from the few episodes I saw. I just don't like watching Jin Yong in Mandarin so I abandoned it but my uncle enjoyed it. There is no published translation of the novel to date but I am glad you managed to find an online one. It's actually my favorite Jin Yong story.

Yeah I really don't like how LTG was developed either. He seemed a very interesting character until he went off the rails. The problem is the story so far prioritizes the romance plot over the political plot and they destroyed his character to generate unnecessary friction between the leads.
