No LCF betrayed both armies. Sun Jing is their common enemy. Cui army intends to restore the Li grandson to power. How is ceding a very strategic stronghold to Sun Jing helping the Cui army? They will have to reunite with Zhenxi army to take it back later on - many men will die in the process. He deserves to be court martialed for doing something like that. And he absolutely bent no rules for Cui Li. He only said he would spare him the death penalty but undoubtedly he would be stripped of authority and face a lighter punishment, most likely a serious flogging. That is still holding him accountable but going lighter on his punishment. In LCF's case there is zero accountability at all, much less punishment.

It doesn't matter. In military matters he is his subordinate just like anyone else. He has to be held accountable.

The Cui and Zhenxi army had an alliance negotiated by Cui Ling. He betrayed that alliance and ceded that very strategic holding to Sun Jing. How is that not a betrayal? Now that Cui Yi is back in charge, he has worked with Zhenxi army, ratifying his daughter and not LCF's strategic alliances. What kind of general would not hold him accountable?

I watched that part towards the end of my run this morning and I was so irritated instead of slowing down to a walk I kept on going. I am so annoyed that LCF was allowed to come back into a position of authority with no consequences after he betrayed her and Li Ni. Where is this so called great general's military discipline. Instead of whipping his daughter's suitor he should be punishing LCF for ruining their alliances. I am also annoyed he didn't just tell everyone she was his daughter already.

The idea that the featherbrain LCF thinks he can force a girl that can kick his ass to marry him is laughable and hopefully gets him castrated.

Yeah LCF and King Liang and his two lousy sons are really lazily written cardboard characters. Sun Jing is much more interesting. I hope this silly arc ends soon.

I do agree that some of that dialogue is a bit trite and juvenile. But Chinese medicine is really bitter and disgusting tasting and I have seen proper grownups whine incessantly about taking it.
