Title Wonderland of Love Spoiler
after watching today's episode I really really wish that the crown prince's child survives so that ML's father…
Yeah I am also hoping the boy survives. But I think the general that has stashed him will keep him largely hidden until it is clear where the loyalties of the different factions lie - Cui family, Li Ni and King Liang. I suspect King Liang will declare the boy dead and seize the throne. But I don't think Cui family will support him. Li Ni will have to choose sides. I think he will end up siding with the Cui family and reinstating the boy. If they kill off the boy, it will be civil war and Li Ni and Cui Lin will be on opposite sides bc I can't see Cui family supporting King Liang. Cui Lin made a comment earlier on that all the Li family descendants are useless.

I think it is just a fictional kingdom that may have drawn some inspiration from historical figures or events. This is very common in historical fiction but this doesn't strike me as distinctly 3 Kingdoms. It sounds more like the military governors seizing power in late Tang early Song. Quite similar to the setting in Destined.

Wait. the voice is dubbed. why?
Xu Kai speaks with distinct traces of Cantonese dialect. His Standard Mandarin is not considered good enough. He will have to work very hard to get there. And that is not even considering line delivery etc yet.
In this drama specifically, his name Li Ni (not Li Yi) suggests he is from the North. It would be very weird for him to sound like he is from a southern province.

Title Wonderland of Love Spoiler
one of the worst father in c - dramas ....
Well his dad is a turd but Li Ni also did pretty much dare Sun Jing to kill him dead. He may have been bluffing but he was definitely willing to gamble with his old man's life. Seems there is just no love lost there.

It does not seem like people in the capital know a lot about him. But I agree it is like she trusted him quite…
Well only a brave illegitimate son who wants to make his own name will take such a risky front line role at a border garrison.

Doesn’t seem like Li Ni wants the thrown though.
Li Ni was a given in ep 1 so that’s besides the point. Pretty sure his father is going to want the throne which is the whole point.

We have to give that black horse a medal it outrun all those horses to give Li Ni the chance to become superhero.😂😂
Indeed but there is something incredibly humorous about fake horseback riding...😂

Increasingly more and more of them do, esp when stunts are involved.

Why do I feel like Sun Jing did all this to have a chance with the woman he loved. It's kinda sad that he finally…
Yeah I think he is a really bad guy but I also feel kind of sad for him and for Consort Xiao. I think they are both complex and flawed characters but their story could have been quite different in a good way.

Most importantly, they were not harmed in the filming.

Well but that isn't what I said. He is second in line to the throne and I think it would be normal for him to want it. Who wouldn't?

Or maybe someone who wants it because they think they can do a good job with it. Point is, King Liang is a not yet fully revealed character so I am not sure we need to at this stage pre-judge what he should or should not do. Give the writer a chance to make the case. But its very normal for people from imperial families to have ambition for the throne. If the boy dies, it is rightfully his and it is his duty to step up.

What does that have to do with wanting a throne?

Let's see. I'd find him more believable if he did so I am not opposed.

I am a big fan of Rebirth of Malicious Empress of Military Lineage except for the last arc of the story which…
There are some rough spots with their enunciation but I have no problem understanding them without having to read the subs. The dialogue is written in quite modern Chinese, which makes it easy to understand. Its not that "authentic" bc its not heavy in classical Chinese but this is rebirth themed and not really a serious historical so it doesn't bother me. I think ZLH's line delivery has improved since MJTY even though he tries too hard in places and has been accused of bellowing like a cow.. Mainland audiences can be particular about these things and some of the issues described above are fair and will undoubtedly impact the rating but I think the viewership is gonna be very high regardless. I think constructive crtiticm is good and pushes the actors to do better which in the end benefits us all. Though not the best, I give top marks to Bai Lu and ZLH for making the effort. I can't remember the last time Jing Tian for example has bothered to dub herself so I am quite happy she is not leading this.
