That's an interesting thought. But she also has a younger sister called Yun Que. Could be a plot hole. I wonder if Shangguan Qian is actually Yun Que, that Yun Que never died. It is strange to me how she protected YWS from the get go. She didn't really need to.

Oh I fully expect they will kill a few main characters and give them really good deaths. That is what makes a real wuxia and not some wishy washy maybe someone died or maybe they didn't kind of wuxia lite.
