He is supposed to be a parody character - his name Fang Duo Bing/方多病 can actually mean he is the plague…
A sickly person hangs around a master healer... It all makes sense!
Xiang Yi 相夷 is a homonym for both mutual healing and mutual destruction. Isn't it hilarious? Very witty novelist.

Same sentiments! The last 10 episodes was a huge stretch for me to finish. I didn’t like how the court drama…
Yeah they really needed to hire a proper court drama writer if they wanted court politics to feature so prominently.

Indeed but then if you use 放(release) instead then he is a biological weapon. 😂

Why is Fang Duo Bing so dumb 😂😂😂😂
He is supposed to be a parody character - his name Fang Duo Bing/方多病 can actually mean he is the plague or avoid sickness depending on which homonym you use for Fang 方. Duo Bing 多病 by itself means sickly and in slang he is just sick (nuts). I started laughing when I first saw his name. No sane person would name their child 多病 - I would guess his parents didn't want him and wished him dead.

Title Imperfect Victim Spoiler
Any updates on the real life victim these days?
No but there is speculation that the real settlement was in the millions. They just agreed to say it was $50k to make him look not guilty and her look not greedy. No way to know if that is true but it would make more sense to me. $50k wouldn’t even pay her legal fees.

This was a tough one to watch. I’d read that some of the characters were based on real interviews. Tougher to…
Not mindless but watch An Ancient Love Song.

Is there any bromance?
Well he has many mentors but I wouldn't say bromance bc they are just people in passing.

Nice to see here now. Yes. He is giving me Lei Wu Jie from "Blood of Youth" energy
Lol - yes now that I finished Fearless Blood its time to start something else!

It's quite an archetypal role... but at least Lei Wujie wasn't trying to be a detective!!! No self awareness!!! 🤦🏻‍♀️ 😂

Fascinating and horrifying subject. I am thinking about going to watch Oppenheimer but have such a hard time watching these kinds of movies. I usually find books less visually traumatic and was riveted Chris Wallace's Countdown 1945 which recounts Truman's decision to drop the bomb on Hiroshima.

I always wonder what drove LZS's evil plot for revenge. It was never reveal until the very end. And for someone…
Yeah it only made sense to novel readers. I guess it was too long to condense into 40 episodes.

Oh geez, I am sooooo disappointed in him!🤦🏻‍♀️ But to be fair, I don't think he imagined the extent of Cheng Gong's charm offensive. I think its very hard for ordinary people to grasp the coercive power of the super powerful ultra high net worth.

She can tell her to stop taking orders from her husband, after all he is no longer in any official capacity there. And if she doesn't comply, fire her for insubordination. There are so many ways to sideline her beyond that. She is wearing blinders as well. I don't completely blame her but I think they are all indefensible awful people.
