Well many actors do stock dramas and do them well so I don't know why that's a good excuse. In any case, you'd think with a budget like Anle's he'd be motivated to act his heart out... But I do hope he is not a one hit wonder.

That's true but its kind of irrelevant. WOH is simply the drama he got noticed in, it shouldn't have magically made him a better actor overnight. His subesequently released dramas after were all cringey. I do hope he gets a lot better bc it would be a shame to see this level of uninspired perfroamnce in those dramasas well since I am actually lookig forward to some of them.

Yeah Gong Jun is just a one hit wonder. He has crashed and burned in everything since WOH. But he is just a bit dull here at least its not cringey like the other ones I dropped.

Yeah it's a fantastic collection that was written for RN which sadly was not popular. iQiyi and Tencent keep stealing it. Tencent also stole one of the songs and used it repeatedly in A Dream of Splendor.

Thanks for your thoughts but I don't mean she has to be bitter or out to destroy everyone, I definitely expect a more nuanced and broad minded idea of revenge, I would not have started this if I thought it was that superficial dime a dozen kind of revenge story.. My point is actually very simple - watching your family get killed in front of you is a scarring, traumatic experience. All I have is an impression of a person who has obviously never had anything really bad happen to her in life. The intepretation of the character so far to me lacks depth. LMX on the other hand definitely comes across as having had a shadow cast over his existence. The two portrayals are at huge odds with each other.

Yes he did visibly improve later on.

It's dark and unpredictable. I am enjoying it even though the lead character is the one I care about the least. I plan to start Imperfect Victim as well.

Her dancing is astonishingly beautiful.

I just think Dilraba as Anle is completely unconvincing as someone whose entire clan down to 9 generations was wrongfully wiped out completely. It is such a shallow depiction I am very disappointed. She is not a tragedy afflicted girl pretending to be lighthearted and carefree. She is just a lighthearted and carefree girl.

So far all he has been good for is to get everyone that helps him along the way killed dead.
